CRISIS: A Sequel? Yes! A sequel! · 2:50am Oct 19th, 2019

So, a bit of an update on an earlier blog post I made shortly after the long-awaited official conclusion to CRISIS: Equestria. In that post I did note the work being done on the prequel story, CRISIS: A Royal Affair, which is already underway (and in fact is done - no sudden cliffhangers this time, folks - but I'm choosing to roll it out weekly so as to have time to work on other projects while keeping readers interested ), but I also noted the possibility of a sequel story.

Well, good news: the sequel story is already underway! With the series finale having aired, I had a little bit of inspiration from the final epilogue episode to give Equestria-V, the main setting of the CRISISverse, one last hurrah so to say before I close the book on my own work on it; maybe someday other fans and writers will want to utilize the setting and characters for something, I don't know, but I can hope, right?

At any rate, I'm not going to spoil anything here as far as the ending of CRISIS: Equestria, or the plot going on in CRISIS: A Royal Affair, but I can reveal a few little pieces of information that might be interesting. As noted, the show's finale served as a key piece of inspiration for the direction I'm taking the sequel; I did not expect for one second that the show was going to have a huge timeskip in it's epilogue episode all Harry Potter-style, no sir. So, that's what I'm going to leave yo with, readers; that's your big hint as to what's going to come out of the CRISIS: Equestria sequel - a timeskip is involved! And unlike originally planned, yes, canon characters are also playing very key roles in the story... but who? WHO?! Well, I'm not telling, but if you want a hint... well, too bad

I will, however, say that I'm intending on writing the chapters consistently while CRISIS: A Royal Affair is posting weekly (and we're anticipating the final chapter will be released around New Years). By the time A Royal Affair is completed, there's one last special side-story to post, and I fully expect to be finished writing the entire sequel (yes, the whole thing!) and will start posting it roughly by the end of January. So stay tuned for more CRISISverse material. Who knows, maybe I'll have some surprises in store to reveal if things go smoothly, hmm?
