What's Next for CRISIS? · 12:47am Aug 31st, 2019
CRISIS: Equestria is officially complete after 8 long years, including a nearly five-year hiatus, which I detailed in another blog post. But where are things going from here?
First of all, there will be no obvious followup focused on the CRISIS Mean Six of Starlight Shadow and her sisters. Their arc is done within the canon of CRISIS, and the only directions I could possibly take them are on a trip through the fanfic multiverse, or attempt to integrate them into the show's canon. The former idea is already being done by GMBlackjack with not just my approval, but my urging, so if you want to see more adventures with them, check his work out; the latter doesn't interest me because I don't want to catch up with the show to try and match up events and such.
So, the next few projects I'm working on are focused on turning the CRISIS setting of Equestria-V into a trilogy of sorts. I'm in the process of writing a prequel story first, detailing the rise of Queen Blackburn through all the important events that made her into the mare she is come CRISIS proper. A sequel to CRISIS is to follow after that, a more traditional adventure tale taking place several years after CRISIS, focused on new characters exploring the changed world.
I want to thank all the readers I've had over the years for their support, and hope to see you on the next project.
Great! Blackburn is one of my favorite OC ponies and she could use the extra screen time. I look forward to reading her story when it's out.
