Running a New Story

Started a new story, titled "Running With Death" that I came up with recently. I'm really looking forward to where I take this one, even if the initial chapter is somewhat sort. The story is a Harry Potter/Addams Family crossover, with Harry getting raised as an Addams.
Have fun thinking about that idea.

I can easily see this Harry being a Hufflepuff. Cunning? Ambition? Healthy to have, but hardly necessary. Knowledge? Nice to have, but there are more important things out there. Courage? Hardly anything that scares an Addams. Loyalty? Hard Work? The Corner Stone of being an Addams.

Only one problem with that.
Hufflepuffs, by nature, are the ones who work in the background making sure the rest of the world keeps running the way it's supposed to.
I personally think this segment of "Harry Potter and the Red-Headed Alien Warrior" by Masterweaver is the best description/explanation of the Hufflepuffs I've ever come across.

"Now I know what some of you are thinking." The boy held up finger. "'Huffs are duffers! House of spares! My mum's gonna kill me when she finds out I'm not in an important house!'" He snorted. Personally I think Harry will remain in Gryffindor as the Addams are all the daring type. Plus Slytherin wouldn’t work for them as they have no care for being better then one another.

I can see it now, Harry take 2 death curses to the chest and stands up a second later going: 'that tickled. My little brother pugsly put two crossbow bolts in my chest for skipping my chores. That was nothing.'

It is considered one of the 'definitive' Addams/HP crossovers if you check Reddit among a few others. It also appears as a fanfic rec from TVTropes.

It involves delicious, luscious black comedy of the Addams brand of madness.

The latest book is in a coma, but otherwise, the others are completed. It also involves a more in-depth look at how magic works in that setting - which is something I always appreciate rather than the very soft magic systems usually used.

Not for kiddies, that's for certain.
