Okay, so I'm re-reading Regret, right?

And reading what this main character thinks is sometimes awkward. I mean, despite what happened, he legitimately is expecting Rainbow to acknowledge the fact that he let her on the train before him. I mean, that's just one thing of many that I now realize is so awkward to read nowadays. My dialogue and writing skills are on par with Scott Gimple. :D

Just a little tidbit of info as I work on After and plan to rewrite Regret proper.

It's a character flaw, but it makes him more relatable. Dash doesn't seem like she'd be the type to really notice chivalry under the best of circumstances. She definitely wouldn't make a big deal out of it, the way Rarity might.

Good point, honestly. I don't plan on writing out these attempts at chivalry, but I do want to write it in a way that sounds less... silly.
