This list is not about my favorite stories of all time. That's my favorites list and one of these days I may get around to writing reviews of those fics.
The List is about stand-out, in-progress works that deserve more love, for whatever reason. In addition to general reviews of the fics, these blog posts will tell why I picked a particular story and highlight any features the reader should look out for. Spoilers will be appropriately marked, so you'll be able to read my reviews with confidence that you'll be able to read the story itself and experience the same surprise and delight I did when I first found it.
Also, authors and fans of works will be able to submit stories. Your particular selection may not make it onto the list, and the more information you give me for why you think it should be featured, the more likely I'll be to read and post it. Premise
Rarity has landed her dream job, what looks to be the first step on her road to fashionista fame and fortune. Her first task with her new employer? Design a wardrobe for one of their top models; Adagio Dazzle. Adagio is interested in far more than just a few outfits, though. She plans on doing downright naughty things with Rarity.
Princess Columbia's Synopsis
For a "goofy pairing for comedic effect" story, there's a surprising amount of emotional unbundling that goes on, especially for Rarity, as she winds up revealing to Adagio that her last love didn't exactly leave her on good terms.
Why am I highlighting this fic?
I like a good relationship fic, especially the "odd couple" type. While there's some minor narratively jarring moments (most notably the odd pseudo-cliffhangers-that-aren't-really at the end of each chapter), they did not diminish my enjoyment of reading this at all.
What makes this fic particularly good?
The addition of Rarity revealing her heartbreak to Adagio as opposed to the usual trope of "Rainboom finds Siren and romances them into healing/reforming/etc." is a welcome change of pace.
Who would like this fic?
...I like romances, especially lesbian romance, okay?! If you like that, too, you'll love this fic!

I would make some comment along the lines of you being a filthy closet lesbian but I also like lesbian stories so I'd just be insulting myself really.
