Average brony obsessing over the main cast with an unhealthy desire to see them in a dark fantasy setting.

The Post Con Post (Part 1) · 5:26pm Aug 13th, 2019

:ajsmug: Afternoon everyone

In the event you didn't know, Bradio is awesome and you should definitely check them out. Especially if you like disco/funk.

:applejackunsure: So, I kinda fell off the map for a while from the con onwards, and there is a reason for that. This will be blog 1/2 of my explanation because we went from 100 to -100 in a fucking hurry, I tell ya what.

First: Bronycon.
Star Overhead actually sold books to more than two people, so that was a welcome surprise. I still have at least four for sale if anyone wants one. I will ship it personally free of charge of course, but the con price of 45 USD still stands.

I brought a couple friends with me and we had a great time. Don't go to baltimore, that place is actually gross. I've been in down town Dallas before, and Baltimore blew that out of the water for just straight up nastiness. It just smelled bad. Used cigarettes everywhere the eye can see, not a step without seeing trash on the road. I was definitely offered weed on the street corner within hours of arriving. Not somewhere I would want to be for an extended time.

The hotel though, was like being in what I imagine Celestia's castle is like. Marble everything, fancy as hell. I got a fantastic deal on it, and only after arriving did I realize that.

Sweet horror movie shot of the hotel enterance

Ceiling filigree that looks really, really expensive

White marble staircase i want in my home when I'm rich as shit one day.

I bought a whole bunch of shit (Not pictured is the unfathomable amount of money I spent on a friend that couldn't come, but the look on his face was priceless... When I showed him the anthro Rarity daki I bought him. I'd never seen true loathing before, but now that I know it, I relish in it. Fucking spectacular. That daki wasn't $65, it was fucking priceless.)

From left to right, Art is Magic Vol 1&2, Viwrastupr's puzzle of this, The essential Aragon hardback, BC2019 shirt, Fallour: Equestria, Star Overhead, Applejack shirt, PaulAsaran's Bulletproof Heart (Of which I'm about 2/3rds through), buttons, pins, AJ hat.

In all honesty, if that con was hosted in a nicer city, I'd totally be willing to go again. I had a lot of fun, saw some awesome panels (Cathy Wesluck is a nice lady, Andy Price is most definitely the best comic artist but for the love of god, do not ask him who the sexiest pony is while he has alcohol.) and even worked the vendor hall a bit for the book store. I met Paul and a bunch of other authors, and it really was a great experience over all. 8/10, might do again in a nicer city.

So that was the 100. I flew back home on sunday night and experienced the polar opposite end of the spectrum the next day.
