I feel as though writing is a battle of ideas and execution, as well as fending off distractions. That being said, I have not fared well in fighting off said distractions. While I can write notes for stories I want to do, and of them there are many and most of them solid and interesting, I can never actually put words to a page without something else catching my attention.
Now, I will be taking a break, and possibly suspending the self-imposed challenge of writing a fic every ten episodes. This is due to how pressuring it is to find something to write, and muster up all the focus and motivation to create, all within a timeframe and being barred from watching a show until this feat is completed. I still will write, rest assured. I love writing, and I love the ideas I come up with. And to let you know I'm not fibbing, I'll let you sneak a peek into what I have in mind by showcasing two ideas.
1. Rarity gets into organized crime and becomes a mob boss.
2. A fic starring Trixie that sees her being punished for an egregious crime. How? Through something worse...
Stay tuned, folks! I have more in the eventual works!
Discord is the big distraction for me. I often find myself at the end of the night having helped several other people with words while neglecting my own. Trying to find the right balance this month.
