I chose a peacock for my story's Blueblood because it seemed like a sort of pet a "high society" sort would have, but the Blueblood in your story doesn't really fit that reason
I feel it should be something unusual, strong, and loyal

Peer white wolf cub or something along those lines, you can make a call back to how Blueblood spent day court with Celestia when he was younger, and how no one noticed him due to the fur being the same color.

This might sound stupid but how about a phoenix, maybe like with backstory of it being Philomena's child, therefore symbolising Blueblood and Celestias Mother-Son relationship (even though Celestia is his aunt but Blueblood is the closest thing she has to a son). If you want it to be a boy then him Faux/Fawkes or Sparky. If you choose a girl call her Flare or Pyra. Hope you see this and I love your fic!
