IN WHICH I MAKE ANOTHER TEMPORARY POST
This post will self-destruct, hopefully sooner rather than later. In the meantime, have this.
Not too much to say, but please follow me anyway…
I haven't done much writing the last couple nights, mostly because I just haven't been in the mood to edit. As I think I said before, my next story to post will be an Anon-A-Miss fic.
Ohhh yes. I am well aware just how popular those are. (i.e. not)
But, I had no choice but to do it. Otherwise, I'd be starting a new offshoot timeline of the EQG-verse -- now officially called "Aristeque" (lazy anagram of "Equestria", natch) -- without a key component of backstory for why characters will be acting the way they do. So, in the interest of showing rather than telling, I'm giving a story, which I've already written and was intended to just be for internal use, a good bit of polish to make it suitable for putting up on this site.
I expect it to go over like a lead balloon, but I don't really care at this point. Nonetheless, I want to at least put effort into this one because some world-building comes out of it.
When one writes as many stories set in the same universe as I have, it's easy to realize that readers often miss some of the hints and foreshadowing to future works I put in for them. That's my fault for having such an erratic schedule, and also for not just doing everything in Anthology format.
Maybe in the future, I'll ask the mods if I can combine and resubmit the entire Burritoverse as a single Anthology story. When I started it over four years ago, I don't think the tag existed. If I knew in 2015 what I know now, I would have made my Burrito fics an Anthology instead of individual entries. But with only one entry left, there's no point.
I should get back to editing, but I rented Sailor Moon from the library and need to watch 20+ episodes before the due date.
Peace out!
Have fun with Sailor Moon!
Hindsight is twenty percent cooler, as it were.
I’m reasonably sure the mods wouldn’t be upset if you did that. Though what you might want to do is take the original, “rebrand” it as your anthology, then start slapping the others in there once a day or something. That might
tend to draw the most attention by virtue of the story already being on people’s bookshelves. But that’s assuming you want to change it now, which would lose (or make less visible) the individual cover arts & comments from the subsequent stories. I don’t know.
Well, the long-mentioned Anon-A-Miss fic will be good to see. It’s well-trod ground, but there can be good appeal in retelling the classics.

That's not a bad idea. Sunset Shimmer Buys A Burrito is by far the most popular Burritoverse story.

He could always embed the cover arts from the individual stories into the tops of each chapter of the anthology version.
