Many of you have probably noticed it's been a while since I last updated my Gundam crossover fic, Gundam Build Fighters: EGs. No, I am not planning on canceling it, but I do have a few things to announce.
Reason for hiatus
The short version is that multiple different real-life factors led to me experiencing an extended period of burnout. That burnout seemed to have passed for the time being, so I am doing my best to make progress on the next chapter, though I do not have a release date for it at this time. However, another reason for this burnout was due to my plan for this story, and the fact that I have been introduced to a multitude of new Gunpla I didn't even know existed, as well a whole bunch of new kits having been released since, which resulted in me doing a few rewrites and minor changes here and there, such as the fact that Sunset's Gunpla, the Unicorn Halo, will be renamed to the Unicorn Nova as of now. Gundam Build Fighters: EGs: Battlogues!
Yes, in an attempt to prevent further burnout, I will be starting up a side story consisting of single chapter stories that have next to nothing to do with the overall plot of the main story, largely being an excuse for me to write about different Gunpla without needing to worry of screwing up the plot. This side story will have no set schedule beyond "When I feel like it..." so I would appreciate if you don't ask me about updates. This also means...
Accepting New Gunpla + Fighter OCS
You read that right, just like before I will be opening up the polls to allow you, my faithful and patient readers to submit your own Gunpla to appear in the side story. However, unlike before, I have decided to set a few rules first:
1. Give me a detailed description of your character and Gunpla, but not too detailed. I don't need your life story, just enough so that I know what to write about. I need a brief physical description of your character, their personality, the name of their Gunpla, what it's based on and if it's customized or not, and how.
2. Please be more original. Last time I got like seven different people with similar combinations of Barbatos Lupus Rex/Destiny/Freedom, to the point I got bored of it. There are possibly hundreds of Mobile Suits to choose from, even those that don't have official Gunpla releases like the Phantom Gundam. Give me some Zaku's and Jesta's, some secondary suits like Buster or Age-2 Gundam, or some from the other series like Zeta. Hell, I'll even promise that the very first person to send me an SD idea will be guaranteed a spot.
3. You won't be guaranteed that I will use your character. As I am mostly winging this side story, I cannot promise that your character will appear in an episode, just that they may. It also means that I can refuse your submission for any reason, such as the previously mentioned unoriginality rule.
