[SPOILERS] The Synopses for Episode 11, Episode 12 and Episode 13! · 3:13pm Jun 8th, 2019
We have three new synopses, for the last three episodes of the first half of Season 9! And I'm in a completely hyped frenzy about all three of them!
They hint at things I have long hoped to see, things that imply a looming tragedy and at things that will prepare the future.
I put my thoughts about them under the automated page break to avoid spoilers.

It starts with "Student Counsel", which is Episode 11 of Season 9. And we will finally see a more detailed look at Starlight Glimmer's work as student counsel at Twilight's friendship school, which is something I hoped to see since "Marks for Effort"!
An episode focusing on Twilight's friendship school and the students of it is always welcome and even more so if we finally see Starlight's job in it in closer detail! According to the synopsis, Starlight tells the students of the school that they can come to her for counseling about anything at any time (!) and that she becomes overwhelmed and learns a lesson from it all.
This sounds strongely like it will come down to it that the students, because Starlight made such a generous offer to them, come to her with literally any problems, even those she as school counselor can't help them with, and at any time, even at night, until Starlight Glimmer breaks down from all the stress of trying to help them all and learns that, while generosity is great, there is also such a thing as being too generous and that she most think of herself too sometimes.
It would fit to Starlight Glimmer to sacrifice herself so much for others, so it will not be surprising if it turns out like that.
What makes me even more excited for this episode is the potential that lies in it regarding interactions between Starlight and various students of Twilight's school. A few of the students who we will see coming to Starlight for advice in this episode will surely be members of the Student Six but, since the episode synopsis implies that A LOT of students will come to Starlight, it is to expect that we will also see a couple of students who aren't part of the Student Six.
There is a very high chance here that we will learn quite a few things about some other students of Twilight's school, about their lives and problems, and this is something I'm looking forward to a lot!
Personally, I would be the most amazed if Lemon Crumble has a role in the episode and if we are going to learn about her life:
I'm interested in all students of Twilight's school, especially the foal students, but I have a strong attachment to Lemon Crumble now after making her a character in "Dreamwalker Dash". It would also be a great opportunity for refining her role in my fic if I would learn a few more things about her personality and life through this episode. I'm really rooting for her to play a part in whatever events we will see in this episode!

This synopsis has me worried. A lot. It's very vague and it doesn't allow to take much away from it, unlike the other two synopses. But it implies that hard times are ahead of our Crusaders, likely even the hardest times in their lives and definitely the hardest times ever since they founded the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
I wonder who it will be, who visits them so unexpectedly, and why that someone is apparently bent on breaking them up. There are a few ponies/creatures that Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle have met who came from or live outside of Ponyville; Babs Seed, Trouble Shoes, Gabby and even Cozy Glow, as she implied that she doesn't live in Ponyville permanently and only during a school year, and especially now she doesn't live in Ponyville either. Imp is a possibility, too, even though we don't know if he/she/it is even ready to leave their homecave yet so he/she/it can visit them in Ponyville (but I would hype over that a lot if it happens, I'm waiting for a reunion between them and Imp for almost six years now!).
But, most of these would have no reason to try and break them up when visiting Ponyville. Babs, Trouble Shoes, Gabby, they all helped them, so they don't have any reason for revenge desires. And neither does Imp, they didn't exactly help him/her/it, but Imp still liked them and saw them as friends after they brought him/her/it back home. Imp forgave them, so he/she/it wouldn't attempt to enact revenge on them either.
The only one who has a reason to attempt this and would try is Cozy Glow. She has a bone to pick with them for trying to stop her plan and she also has the temper that is required for actually coming to Ponyville and getting revenge on them in a solo effort.
What breaks this theory, though, is that the synopsis talks of "visitors", not one visitor. And Chrysalis, Tirek and Grogar have no interest in enacting revenge on three fillies, they have far bigger ambitions.
So, who is it? I'm actually completely at a loss with this. All else I can think of is that it will be someone who we don't even know yet, but who THEY know from somewhere. Someone who became an enemy of them for some reason. The synopsis contains the term "unexpected", but what if the visitors aren't just unexpected for them, but also unexpected for us, because we don't even know the ponies/creatures who will come to and for them yet?
It's possible that we learn about someone from their past who hasn't been previously revealed to us yet in this episode, via flashbacks or just a retelling of certain events by these unexpected visitors. Could we see a dark secret of their past in this episode?
But whatever comes for them, and even with my fears regarding these visitors and the way they will affect them, I know they will come out of this unscathed. They have been through quite a few challenges for their friendship over the years and prevailed every time. They will prevail this time too.
Nothing and no one can break up the Cutie Mark Crusaders!

Last, but not least, Episode 13 "Between Dark and Dawn". This episode will be the mid-season finale and it couldn't be more fitting!
Looks like Celestia and Luna want to test Twilight and her friends further to see if they are ready to take care of Equestria alone, by going on a sister vacation.
This episode has me excited, too, because it can (and likely will) contain further hints for the obversations I made in the Season 9 Opener. If I am right about their secret plan to test Twilight and her friends, we might see another staged attack on Equestria by something in this episode.
What has me even more excited is the title of the episode. "Between Dark and Dawn" strongly implies that all the events we will see in the episode are going to take place between Sunset and Sunrise, or, at night. But the night is only Luna's domain, so why are we only shown how they take on Luna's nightly duties, but not Celestia's duties during the day, too?
Well, I have an idea for that. Maybe, Luna does INDEED take Rainbow Dash up on her offer and wants her to be her successor as dreamwalker. If Rainbow Dash gets from Luna what she needs to be a dreamwalker and starts to practice dreamwalking, it would nicely explain why this episode seems to focus on Luna's duties.
If this becomes true, I could have the biggest outburst of joy ever since Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle got their cutie marks. I don't know how much I can root for that, as it is just a vague possibility, but I will keep an eye on this possibility and approach the episode with a careful hope that it will really happen like this.
All three of these episodes sound incredible, each in its own way, and I can't wait to see them all. It's going to be a very intense end of the first half of Season 9!
Me too! I personally love how Celestia and Luna still appear. It sort of makes it look like they have still their duties, just need to break

Well, they are still having their duties. They haven't passed on the throne to Twilight yet.
5071249
Indeed. I just like how they still appear, despite planning to retire
5071251
I hope Luna will keep appearing in the show. I need at least one more episode all for her. And I hope that their retirement doesn't mean what some speculate, that their lives near their ends..... I don't want Luna to die.
5071254
Me too. If you don't mind, it would be a problem for the Enternal Knights if Luna would retire

Not liking cliffhangers? But you actually got one, matter of factly. If you read that someone "threatens to break up the Cutie Mark Crusaders forever", then you know that someone will try to do this, but you don't know what will happen as a result or if they succeed with it. So you are now left hanging until you get an answer next week.
Which I imagine should make it harder for you to look forward to this episode, not easier. It certainly makes it harder for me.
