    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom...

...how low I have gone to use a joke that everyone else has used. Blegh.

At the beginning of the episode, I swear, these villains came off as siblings having a spat with Grogar as the disgruntled father. It was just so funny to see them complaining about each other, and I kept making jokes like, "Behave, children! Papa's busy and he wants you to be quiet!"

Never thought I'd ever hear Tirek sing. Cozy Glow I'd expect, Chrysalis sang way back in Season 2, but Tirek? Well, here we are.

Okay, it was a fun episode. Cozy Glow has the best faces and funniest interactions with Rusty Bucket, I was impressed with how well Chrysalis did until those winds proved their strength, and Tirek just going, "Nope, Grogar's right, I'll just wait for the girls to fail and come back." It was so nice to see them work together and actually start helping one another, not to mention bonding over making fun of Twilight around the campfire. This almost-friendship just felt so natural, they had to actively stop themselves from giving in.

Not sure that hiding the bell is going to work for long, though. GROGAR SEES ALL.

And lastly... behold, Old Mountain Hermit Cheese:

I do know his real name (see two paragraphs up), I just like making these jokes.

As much as I try, I cannot find anything wrong with this episode.

Chrysalis is now my favorite non-reformed villain.
