Darn, GM, you make a lot of blog posts dontcha?
Yeah, I guess I do. But this one needs to get off my chest, so I'm not gonna just delay it.
I'm not particularly enjoying writing Yiyxa anymore. And it's not because I have writer's block or anything - I can quite easily type up a chapter in under an hour and post it without much effort. It's just not... interesting to me. And the way I write it isn't particularly thrilling either. Short snippets I barely do any editing on designed to get out there quickly and without much hassle.
I designed it to be less stressful than SotS. Well, somehow, it has had the exact opposite effect. It's only been around for a short while and it already feels like a big shadow hanging over me I don't really want to do with. As I write it, images of LSB or The Final Choices pop into my head and I'll go 'man I'd much rather be writing that.' And so I get into little arguments about myself about how long I can put it off, blah blah blah...
So I'm putting it on hiatus, and I honestly have no idea if I'll ever return to it. This is mildly annoying - I had planned to use it to flesh out Pidge a bit since she shows up in SotS and has some things to do near the end - but I think she stands well enough on her own that it isn't necessary.
I'll probably answer any questions you have, but only in PMs. And if, by chance, anyone who sees this wants to take over - well in that case, why would I stop you? So long as I trust you to do good stuf.
So, yeah, that's that. Derp.

Hmm. Understandable. I'd offer to take the reins, but I'm directing enough ponies as it is.
I hope you will still keep it up, even if you should end up cancelling it.
This is my first encounter at a story I adore the concept of being put into hiatus. Honestly, I don't know how to react... other than say... 'I respect your wishes.'
If it is casting a dark shadow over you, then do all you can to get out of that dark cloud. Self-care.
If you ever decide to pick it back up, or anyone else decides to continue it, I'll be right there. For now though... I'll tip my hat in respect
