On and off again as I am, I rarely come on now.
What am I doing you three sole readers might ask? Well, I am going to school. Tafe to be exact, it's a form of higher learning in Australia that's not quite as grand as University but gets the job done. I'm studying to be a Library assistant. I'm often told that I fit best with that role. The work is so hard but the reward is well worth it in the end. I've been going for the past few Fridays.
In the meantime, I have been reworking drafts of my final fanfiction, there's never a day that goes by where I'm not totally losing my crap over the slightest bit of quality that doesn't reach a standard.
The Black Feather crew have been very helpful in places, more so in the knowledge of writing than anything else. DuvetofReason (The Devil You Know) has really been the main man to help me through a bunch with regards to my projects. I am glad to call him friend, and grateful that he has stuck by me despite my nature.
Now, I have to address this. Sometimes, once in a blue moon I'll log on to find people have read or commented on Nyx and the Sunset. I am happy the story is still being found and read, but I am at the same time woeful.
Nyx and the Sunset may never be completed. I still think very fondly on Nyx and the Sunset, I've even thought of rewriting the story from scratch and posting whatever I would write as their own chapters instead of pasting over what is already there. It would be a better story. I hope I can work on it concurrently with my final project.
I must temper these projects however. I feel like I don't have time anymore for fanfiction, and I do so wish to move onto original fiction. I doubt my skill and my confidence has taken such a hit that I am pensive at best, terrified at worst.
How I miss the days of fearless confidence, where I could write without second guessing myself and putting it off.
I can only hope that I can one day carry myself as freely as the wind life I once did.
This blog will be marked mature to reflect my linking of The Devil You Know.
