IN WHICH I GET MY DUCKS IN A ROW
But first, have a promo video for PassCode's new album, which drops on Wednesday (it's coming to non-JP places too).
Okay, I've given you the amazingness that is Yuna Imada (the screamer), now on to the blog…
Today is April Fool's Day, but I don't observe it. I don't have the time or inclination to write a trollfic or shitpost for y'all today. I got shit to do before I must leave for Dallas this coming Friday in preparation to see Perfume on Sunday night.
My hotel is close to the venue, but I'm not sure if it's within safe walking distance. But I may walk anyway and just hope I don't get mugged or shot. Same with some of the places I'd like to visit the day before the show. Maybe for insurance I'll send one of my comrades on here a copy of everything I've written but haven't put up and hope it gets out somehow if I die this weekend by knife, gun, or vehicle.
Anyway, I realized today that, right before I leave town, the last chapter of Annie I'm set to release ends on a pretty big cliffhanger.
I'd been wondering what the point was in releasing a story that I'd already completed months ago at a clip of only two chapters per week. The delay in Chapter Seven after what happens at the end of Ch.6 makes it all worth it.
Peace out!
Enjoy the show! And sometimes release/cliffhanger timing is a valid thing to plan around. One of my chapter breaks in my novel was done purely for effect—I wanted to make people think that a character had died, as a way of sparking interest. Then of course when they didn’t die, I just had to pay that off in a satisfying way.
Have fun! :D I'm sure things will be okay.
