First things first, A Heart Eclipsed is getting a rewrite from the ground up. Not too much is going to change story-wise, but the crossover with Alex will be significantly different and I'll be dropping the early-chapter perspective switches. It's a mode that just didn't work out.
Honestly, once he reaches the point where he stopped switching and just kept it 3rd-person, it'll be almost entirely the same as its current state. Depending on how much/little he changes, he might not even have to rewrite those later chapters.
Once I'm finished with that, I'll be continuing to write new chapters for the story. I'm also going to start writing for The Undying Angel again. I've had one chapter half-finished for months now, and I just needed that umph to get it finished.
So I guess I'll bite. How do you plan to do all of that and write another chapter for your contest story plus possibly another entry for it without letting Student 32 fall by the wayside?
Elementary, my dear thespian! You see, Student 32 takes a lot of resources to write, from the class seating chart to a list of canonical spells to translation tools to the original manga. The only way I can have all of these tools at my disposal is to write on my laptop.
Okay.
Meanwhile, I find myself at the point where I have no new stories to read on break-time and lunch-time at work, and updates to the stories I'm following have slowed to the point where I finish them rather quickly when they appear in my feed.
...I think I see where you're going with this.
And so, I will be working on The Undying Angel, A Heart Eclipsed, and The Sesquiannual Meeting of LEVITY ONLY from my phone at work. Anytime I have access to my laptop and time to write, I'll be writing Student 32.
...while at the same time balancing 6 classes and a social life.
Nonsense. I have no social life!
In any case, I do have a question for my readers. Do you want me to create an entirely new story, A Heart Eclipsed II, and mark the current story as "Canceled," or do you want me to mark the current chapters as "alt. continuity" And start over in A Heart Eclipsed.
