    Good news: I'm Not Dead!

    And neither is Student 32!

    Yet.

Shut it! Anyway, I apologize for taking so long, but the last chapter of this mini-arc is on its way to my editor. I'm afraid this latest batch of 3 chapters is rather short. But I have learned an extremely valuable lesson from these months of struggle.

    I. CANNOT. WRITE. SLICE OF LIFE. DOWNTIME. FLUFF!!!

Random Thoughts: Thanks for All the Fish

First things first, progress is good on the next arc of Student 32. It'll be a casual, slice-of-life style arc as we get ready for the source manga's big Genre Shift.

    New Chapter: Don't Panic

Yes, I published a new chapter of The Undying Angel.

No, this does not mean that I have taken significant time away from Student 32: Sunset Shimmer or shifted focus. That is still my primary project. This chapter just came together recently, so I decided to publish.

First things first, progress is good on the next arc of Student 32. It'll be a casual, slice-of-life style arc as we get ready for the source manga's big Genre Shift.

But that's not what I'm here to talk about. Every few months I go through my Read Later and Tracking folders and do some "Spring cleaning," taking out all of the stories that no longer hold my interest and/or have stopped updating. I did a round of this today and reached a sobering realization.

I'm running out of things to read.

My Read Later library is empty, and my Tracking library has only 11 stories in it, two of them side-works to the main works I'm following. A few of the stories I'm tracking still have a long way to go until they finish, but a few of the others seem to be wrapping up. A couple of them might even be abandoned. Honestly, it won't be too long before it's only one or two fics that I'm following on here. I never thought it would happen this soon, but since I'm not motivated to follow Gen 5, I'm basically out of MLP content.

Now, I don't want my readers to worry. I am by no means done writing. I am determined to see Student 32 and The Undying Angel through to the end. I have every intention of going back and doing a full re-write and completion of A Heart Eclipsed and One Last Mission. I might end up leaving a couple of the others behind, but I still have dozens of pony stories that I want to tell, and I'm not going to stop as long as I still have an audience who wants to read them.

It's just... sobering to realize that, as far as being on the receiving end goes, I'm almost done with the MLP fandom.

Every era must end; I just didn't see this one ending this quickly.
