    A Tip Jar

Just in case anyone is feeling particularly generous, I have started my own Ko-fi account. No particular goals or pressure, just if you wanna show appreciation, this is an outlet, as well as the likes you give, your libraries and the comment section.

    Eviction Update

I was lied to. Three weeks, not four. I have to be packed up and move out back to my Mum (towards which I felt feelings of self-harm, suicide and homicide) by August 1, despite both of us agreeing this is not good for us. My aunt doesn't care and is no long diplomatic about anything.

    I don't think I like her anymore.

    Eviction

As the title says, I'm getting evicted. The house I'm staying at is going on the market and at the time of publishing this blog, I only have four weeks to pack and leave. I don't know where I'll go, hopefully not back in with my mother (who was the reason I put myself in the hospital), but not many places or share houses accept unemployed, chronically depressed, welfare-receiving man-children

The Thicc of It

MY FIRST AND POSSIBLY ONLY ROMANTIC DRAMA IS OUT

A Lapse of Reason is a prequel to the no-so-critically acclaimed but still overall rather popular Damage Control. Yes, I know it's technically a sequel, but shut up. You're not the one trying to promote this. Let me have my moment.

So, I managed to write an extra chapter in time before I posted it for Valentine's Day (American time, because Western Australia's thirteen hours faster than the majority of this fandom), and boy, this has been a pretty interesting thing to write. Plenty of opportunities I didn't realise I'd set up already in the previous story. Like, I knew there was bound to be something happening with the princesses, but not to the extent I know now for the future.

Don't be fooled by the rating or warning tag: this is not an absolute clopfest. I mean, there will be clop eventually, but not for a long, long-ass time. I got to build this relationship up first -- frankly, justify why Philip's a human and not, say a minotaur, because it's a bonus when a decision has a narrative purpose behind it -- and I really want to do the story justice. This is, after all, about a normally a-romantic person finding themselves falling in love, and coming to terms with the fact, as well as a normie human finding himself falling for her in turn.

Besides, who knows? Maybe the anticipation and romantic tension will be just as fulfilling as the clop itself.

(Back To) The Future

I'll try to mash out what I can for this story going forward, but time will be a little short after this week and the next, becuase university's starting again. There's also this animation portfolio I need to build for myself if I'm ever to be employed in the field of my choice, and my obligations to helping Mum around the house.

In other words, life's catching up again, not that my incessant perfectionism wasn't enough of an obstacle.

Sorry, B_25, no way I'm writing 10k a day like you.

Next big development should come in the form of my normal editor coming back from a a sudden and unexpectedly urgent break, which will mean a big dump of 15k words' worth for The World Turned Upside Down. Pepper your angus for that. No ETA: I've told him to take all the time he needs. Send some emotional support, if you want, and be sure to make it as vague and sappy as you can!

Regards from the good old-fashioned lover boy,

Thank you for the story!
I loved the first one and am sure this prequel/sequel will be great!
