What I don't get is that Sci-Twi becomes a unicorn when her ponied-up human form has wings.

Good question, although it always bothered me human Twilight had wings in the first place. Only reason they were there I suspect was because she's Twilight, even if the human Twilight hasn't exactly earned them like her pony counterpart you know?

Probably similar to how they handled the last specials, with each being a cluster of five ten-minute shorts that are considered port of the season.

The Spring Break one is a special, they were just mixing it in with the shorts for the full EQG Season 2 package.

That looks like it was mostly clips from the spring break special. That said, there are a couple of things that I like/noticed:

• Theyr'e definitely making SunSentry a thing (to a certain level of 'a thing'; as with TimberLight, I doubt that they'll even use the word 'date');
• Another thing is Pinkie yelling 'Light her up, ladies!' I suspect it is going to be EqG's equivalent of 'Minna! Henshin yo!'
• Once again, we see that Tank is the thing that makes Rainbow Dash awesome;
• Rainbow, Fluttershy and Applejack fear being made Rarity's models;
• Gamer!Fluttershy must, must, must become a thing!

Finally, Sci-Twi asks "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Um, no Sci-Twi; you are an authentic genius and a Spark and have an IQ of 214; the others thinking what you are thinking is about as likely as a normal human thinking in the same way as an octopus!
