Yeah, so there's a little dysphoria going on between the time of year and the chapter I just put out, but whatever right? It's almost Christmas, and this is the prefect time to get into arguments with your family and cause chaos and conflict! ... right? So uh... yeah. Things aren't looking great for our heroes. We beat the monster, but this time... we suffered losses. Down a leg, we've lost our sniper completely. on top of that, our bad guy decided that this was the time to flex, and he flexed hard. literally pushed a button and caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands. And there was no way for anypony to stop it.
And then... we learn that somepony near is at the root of all this. And we also learn why the hidden name of the equestrian empress is so feared. Why the princesses can't intervene in a fight like this. There is a point where one becomes so powerful that even the slightest loss of control can turn into a disaster, and even as furious as she was, she was still holding back.
Next time, we'll get a break from all this even after a tragedy. A sense of normalcy remains in the daily lives of the unaffected, and just as we know it will, the sun will rise again in the morning. On the other side of the coin, life tends to flourish in years where death has had its way. A new story will begin and a plan will be put into motion, and with luck... life will change, for the better.
Unless something extraordinary happens and I get it done before new year's eve, the next chapter of Super will likely be posted on the seventh. We have four more story beats to hit before it all comes to an end, so I fully expect to have the story completed by February. I think I'll take a little break from writing long form stories for a few months, but I plan to start up the sequel to Super up in May. The tone and characters will be different, but the world will be the same, and you might even find a few things hidden in this story that point at events in the sequel.
