All About My Picnic On Saturday! đ · 1:10pm Dec 21st, 2018
Hey Everypony!
How are y'all doing this fine day? I hope you're doing good enough by the grace of God. This blogpost is solely for letting you guys know what happened at my picnic on 8th of December. So, without further ado, here goes!
P.S. it's very long!
I was well & ready for the picnic although I couldn't sleep the previous night for reasons unknown. I always have a tendency to reach late at school. Don't know why, though
. When I reached school, my best friend, even though studies in another class, was waiting for me. As I sheepishly entered the school gate, my best friend pulled me closer & said "I would've killed you if you were any less late...!" I just giggled : that's her typical dialogue if she gets annoyed by me. Then it was announced that my class & my best friend's class will be in the same bus. We, uh, jumped around, like a bunch of crazy teenagers . We then made our way to the bus & realized that my arch-nemesis was also in the bus. I sighed at my fate.
We had to visit the Zoo & the Fun City as part of our picnic. my best friend was busy reading a book written by Dan Brown (any Dan Brown fans here?) while I was busy scrolling through the pictures I had clicked through my camera. They had informed us that only camera was allowed & no other gadgets were to be brought. But as fate would have it, almost everyone in my bus had brought their IPhones to listen to songs through the busâ speakers. My best friend kept on regretting that she didnât bring her phone. She had even bought new earphones in hopes of bringing it but it was all for naught. And the teachers didnât even object those whose brought gadgets other than camera! I mean, come on!
Anyways, we reached the main gate of the Zoo & had to wait till the teachers get us our tickets. We clicked our pictures before going in. We were left to roam the Zoo on our own. Me & my friend decided to stick with a group our class made. We followed them as much as possible but then lost track of them while clicking photos. At last, it was only me, my friend & a shy girl from my class with us. We managed to reach the main gate after navigating through the zoo searching for lions or such. But as we still wanted to see the lion, we again went back searching for it. We saw a cute white tiger tossing around!
My best friend said she had visited this place before, so I thought it was best to follow her to navigate our way. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It so happens that me & my best friend have the tendency to lose our way. And we did that again. And also involved the shy girl who did absolutely nothing to us. Weâre really cruel...
. Then me & my best friend got into a fight, okay it was just a argument, but you get the idea. I was telling her to move forward in hopes to see a lion while she argued that we go back to see the lion. She then gave me five minutes : in those minutes we should be at least near the exhibit. I took up the challenge & urged them to move faster. But then I reached a place where I didnât know where to move. And she kept on annoying me by telling how much time I have left. Finally I gave in & followed her to find out that we lost our way. We kept on searching our way by asking the security. We were extremely worried as it had become very late & didnât spot any of our schoolmates close by. But then a kind woman saw us roaming around cluelessly & told us to ride on her safari vehicle. She finally took us to the main gate to meet our doom. Me & my best friend were very worried about what would happen. I could feel my heart beating real fast. We met our class teachers who were at the door, waiting for us. We explained that we lost our way back here. They told us to head for the bus immediately. We heaved a sigh of relief that it wasnât too bad. But the worst was yet to come. The Supervisor spotted us coming now & inquired us about why we took so long. We explained that we were with a group & they left us & stuff. I got scared of her glare on us. She then started telling us we shouldâve reached here early as they told, at 11:30ish. I just nodded while deep in my mind I knew they never mentioned about the time we should be assembled at the main gate. We then quietly made our way to the bus & had to face another questionnaire by our classmates. I was so embarrassed when they were asking me if teachers had yelled at us. I let my best friend answer all the questions while I tried to make myself small as an ant.
We then headed over to Fun City. It was 13:00 or 13:30ish & I was very hungry. We again had to stand in line outside in the hot sun while the teachers bought our tickets. This time we made proper groups & the teachers told us to be back at 16:30ish. I set the alarm on my watch so that we wouldnât be in trouble again. I was on the verge of fainting from hunger but managed to hold myself up. We were made to sit on the grass from which I got a bit of relief. Then we had to queue up for our lunch. I still hate the lunch they provided us with. It was Biryani, a big piece of chicken, curds & additional egg or pickle. I tried to eat as much as possible but it was too tasteless. I had vowed to never waste food but that day I broke that vow & hurried off to wash my mouth & hands.
It was almost 14:30 by now. We then decided to have a little walk & go on some rides. The first ride was a little babyish : It was a rocket ride in which you just go round & round, nothing else. It was great âcuz I donât want to go on big rides when I have just eaten. We wandered off into the park, searching for the ride that me & my best friend saw while entering. We came across some schoolmates who told us that there was a rollercoaster ahead. We were excited except for my best friend. She was a bit nervous. We kept on walking & spotted the bumper cars. We quickly ran to play there. Me & my best friend took one car as the others were all filled up. It was incredibly fun! I was driving like crazy! 
Then I let my best friend take the control of the wheel while I pressed the accelerator.
It was crazy! We kept on crashing again & again but still fun. We crashed to one of my classmates who held her nose with her hand. Me & my friend got puzzled & asked her if something was wrong. Then we understood that her nose was bleeding. Luckily the ride was over & we rushed over to help her. The staff told us where the clinic was & we were soon joined by our Supervisor & HOS. It was incredibly quiet in the room. I felt very weird there. Then the school nurse came & inspected her. It so happened that she bashed her nose to the steering wheel which caused the nose bleed. We were sent out while the doctor examined her. My best friend was getting worried every second. Then finally she came out. We asked if she was okay & she said she was fine. The Supervisor said that if it bleeds again, we should inform them. We agreed & went our way. Luckily that incident didn't repeat itself. The next ride we went on was a bit similar to the first ride but in this you move up & down. I was a tad bit scared as I have a bit of fear of heights but then it was fine as my best friend was with me. We spotted a boating ride & decided to go in it. We were with four others but two of them just wandered off somewhere so it was just four of us. The two who were with us volunteered to paddle the boat while me & my best friend sat back enjoying. It was fun, except for the fact that we crashed to a stone & couldnât make our way out of there. Me & my long ago friend who was paddling the boat were fans of Titanic movie so we started roleplaying. Myself as Rose & she was Jack. Boy, was it fun! Then someone told that if we paddle in the opposite direction we can go reverse. We then went âOhhhhh...â We then made our way out of that to be crashed by the teachersâ boat & another group of studentsâ boat. We had lots of fun! Then we finally came out & headed towards a biggest ride of the Fun City : Skyflyer. I had already gone on the ride in another place so I was not reluctant on going. I was thinking of going into the ride if my best friend would come along. She was like she doesn't want to as you wouldn't get control on your feet & also, she doesn't like being upside down. She tried to convince me to go & have fun but she & I both know that if we don't want to do something, we'll be very stubborn on that. She gave up & sat next to me. She kept on wondering if she should try it & ultimately pushed that thought aside. We thought of buying a drink called Splash or something. We told the shy girl to tell them that we went to buy it & to wait for us.
She never went on any rides, though. Personally, I thought she's simply wasting her parents' money. Anyway, me & my friend went to buy the drink & found that it costs 7 bucks. We settled with one drink only & bought two straws to share. Thankfully, those shippers in my class were not present there ATM, or else they would have continued shipping me & my best friend. We went searching for our group to find them gone. We search for almost 15 minutes but there was no sign of them. I told my friend to be selfish & off we went to enjoy rides with the time we had. We reached the rollercoaster & found that all of them were there. I then nagged my best friend to come. I told her like it's not so scary, this & that. She finally agreed. The line took a long time, though. It was 16:30 but we ignored it as we were almost close to our chance to ride it. We went on it & told my friend to sit at the side as she was uncomfortable with others seeing her in a scared form. The ride was jerky though. But it was still fun. They then announced in the speaker that was set around the park that everyone should assemble at the main gate. Me & my friend made our way back but then spotted the ride we saw first. We rushed towards it & had a ride. It was like the second ride except it was a swingish type. We felt like it was nothing compared to the other rides.
We then made our way back to the bus where they gave us ketchup (Are we supposed to eat ketchup for snacks? 
) & a burger. I was so damn hungry after the rides that I didn't leave anything for my sister to eat. But I atleast left her a juice packet. We saw the beautiful lighting on our way home. There was a higher grade team in our bus who said that they wanted to have a sing-off. My class clearly wasn't interested in it as they didn't sing that loud. The opponents sang loud but knew only the chorus of songs. So it was very weird. The group of four who had been with us were sleeping peacefully behind us. Me & my best friend were idly occupying the three seater to ourselves & stretching ourselves. We reached home tired out & I didn't go to school the next day. Even my best friend took the day off.
