Progress Report: Pony Fics and Non! · 7:41am Dec 16th, 2018
Haven't done one of these in a long while, but here it goes. I should also point out that bit about Non in the title, someone gave me a story a week or two ago and it got me into a little-known fandom which I had dipped my toes in, a fandom (fanfiction obviously) that is outside out ponies. Not that I'm giving up on ponies, but it's refreshing to try something new, even if I had already attempted it once before. I only wish that now, more than ever, Fimfic accepted stories from other fandoms with how much better it's programmed when compared to Fanfiction dot net. But no matter, it's my blog and I can talk about what I want!
Feather Steel Chapter Thirteen: While the full outline of the story was finished a while back, I have been admittedly quite a bit busy trying to find a job. While it's a lame excuse, it is partially true, granted I'm well aware that I am the one responsible for when this story moves forward and it's my fault for putting it on hold so many times when I could easily keep writing. This is my current only live story but you'll see why it's flown under my radar if you keep reading about the stuff I've been working on. But to make a long story short, I will continue this as soon as I can. I still love this story and it will finish, of that I promise. My brain just gets so distracted with...
Unpublished Works
Reflections of Eternal Darkness: This story has been in the works for quite some time. It's up to five full chapters and I may even make it to a sixth before posting, but it's starting to wear on me that it's not published yet. It's the story with the weird cover art that I posted in my last blog. And it's dark, like really dark. I'm not one hundred percent sure how to even write a summary for it, but I do have a test one I can post here, just curious what people think:
Scootaloo lives the perfect life. She has kind and caring parents, three best friends and a lovely home. She lives in the magical land of Equestria where four kind princesses rule over all of their subjects using the power of friendship and the magic of kindness. She couldn't ask for a better life, except for maybe the ability to fly, but she's young and has a full life ahead of her.
Scootaloo lives an endless nightmare of pain and suffering. She's forced to fight a losing war as a child soldier against Nightmare Moon and her seemingly endless supply of brainwashed soldiers, ready to throw down their lives to protect their false dark queen. Princess Celestia is nowhere to be found and their entire world is plunging ever further into darkness.
I could describe more, but you'll all get to see more when it's finally published.
Words Not Wasted:
So this one is a bit strange and it's gone through a few sorts of re-writes. It's about a young colt who wakes up with very little memories (cliches are the best cliches). He doesn't know much just that he's a unicorn, what Equestria is and he does not like wasting words, so he talks very little. He also may or may not used to be a demigod. Hoping to get that one out soon, too, but it's a bit more behind than Reflections is.
Non Pony Fanfiction!
Choices of a Character: So here it is, a... Wreck-It Ralph piece of fanfiction that I tried writing way back in 2013. I saw the film back then (likely a bit before) and really got enamored of the idea of expanded universes (fics) revolving around that cute little film. There's just so much there that's untapped and it's a huge shame that fics which involve that franchise are doomed (for now until Knighty gets off his butt...) to remain on Fanfiction dot not instead of here.
...Unless they're a crossover. 
That was my idea back in the day, but I never finished it and, reading through it now, it's clear I rushed quite a few parts and I've learned quite a bit since then about pacing, writing out feels, how dark stories can really be an author's best ally and all manner of grammar and writing tricks. The story never got far enough along to even be a crossover with ponies, but I always intended it to be one, but for now, the only chapters which are on the internet are left over on fanfiction dot net. I plan on re-writing this and I think it's best if I do. Still not one hundred percent sure if I should make it a crossover or not, considering how hard it would be to explain and how difficult linking two universes that are just so vastly different, but I'm sure I could do it! Granted, until the story even remotely features ponies, I'm not allowed to feature it here on Fimfiction due to the rules. This means I'll be forced to think of something a bit more clever than my old idea. But the too long don't read version is... I'll get back to you on this, but I do not want to give up on this fic of mine.
Reflections of a Character: This is the last story that I'm working on and I only just started on it! Granted, the idea came to me and I got so addicted to the idea of another Wreck-It fic that I wrote down a full summary/ plot outline of it from start to finish. There's too much to post here on a little blog, but let's just say that this idea is DARK. I mean like super duper triggered dark, but we'll cross that bridge when it's done and posted, sadly I can't post that here what so ever, but maybe I can link it in a future blog.
