(Death Battle) Twilight Sparkle VS Lightning Analysis

I don't know if this is accurate or not, but I got this list from a site that depicts some of Twilight's powers and abilities, and I'm going to list them to see how they can or cannot work against Lightning Dawn.

Child Prodigy: Twilight possessed a hidden magical potential as a filly, which eventually unleashed itself due to the energizing effect of a sonic rainboom.

Don't think that helps in a death battle.

Enhanced Intelligence: Twilight is highly intelligent and knowledgeable, able to retain a great deal of information and use it to her advantage.

That's fine and all that, but Twilight's knowledge and information all comes from within Equestrian histories and stuff. Therefore, she knows nothing about Outer Space, having never actually been there, nor visited other planets (The human world doesn't count) She has no knowledge of the kinds of OTHER POWERS and POSSIBILITIES that exist out there, and she cannot read these up in her books due to their being no recorded information about it

Alicorn Physiology: Twilight is an Unicorn Pony who transforms into an Alicorn and becomes a princess, allowing her both to fly and cast magic, including new levels of power that ordinary Unicorns could never possess.

Not too important for a fight

• Magic: Twilight Sparkle is extremely adept at magic, as it's her special talent.

  Perhaps, but she seems to rely far too heavily on magic to do everything for her, whereas Lightning and his friends COMBINE magic with physical force, and weaponry to accomplish their battle tasks.

  As Captain America said "Your magic is only ONE TOOL in your kit... don't be so reliant on just ONE TOOL"

  and he's right, if Twilight's magic fails her, and she's not as skilled in other fields, she's in serious trouble

  • Spell Casting: Twilight can perform a large number of different magical spells. Twilight can perform other various spells and tricks, she is able to learn spells simply by watching others perform them.

    • Levitation: Twilight can self-levitate using her own telekinesis.

      This type of magic will not work against Lightning or his friends-- They are trained Dragon Ball style. And even when not wearing their special armor, their bodies are so solid from all the excessive training they do, and Twilight's magic being far too weak... it cannot penetrate their bodies to levitate them

    • Gravity Alteration: Twilight can use a "gravity spell" to change the direction of a gravitational field within a certain area.

      Lightning and his friends are used to massive amounts of pressure, as well as battling in midair. Altering the gravity field may give Twilight a soft edge, but not the advantage

    • Magic Beam Emission: She can shoot concussive blasts from her horn.

      *Shakes head* It's like a Baby Digimon vs a Mega... or trying to use PSYCHIC ATKS on DARK POKEMON Twilight's beam will do barely enough damage to make Lightning or his friends flinch. Lightning and his friends are much too strong (With or without their Super armor) their bodies are too solid to hurt that easily

    • Force-Field: Twilight can create a force-field to protect herself and/or others.

      Again, (compared to the Space Ponies) Twilight's level is far too low. Those force fields... Lightning and Friends could easily break throigh them without much effort as if they were made of paper.

      -One blast of magic or from a weapon, or even a blow with a fist could easily shatter Twilight's barrier

    • Teleportation: Twilight possesses the ability to teleport herself and others.

      Not effective on the Space Ponies... again, Twilight's magic isn't strong enough to penetrate their solid bodies. And even if she teleported herself, the Space Ponies' visors can detect her exit point and they can trip her up, or the space ponies can even anticipate her exit point WITHOUT the visors. (Twilight is simply not fast enough)

    • Telekinesis: Twilight's horn usually glows white or a faint shade of purple, and objects assume a glow of white, purple, or magenta; when she affects multiple objects at once, several other colors are used as well, allow her to manipulate them.

    • Thought Manipulation: Twilight Sparkle was able to use a spell to stop the Parasprites from eating food, as well as a spell to stop the Vampire Fruit Bats from sucking the juice from the apples.

      It may work on THOSE creatures, but not against a Space Pony. Just as their bodies are trained to be strong and solid, their minds are trained the same way. A space pony's mind is trained to stay strong and focused, making it difficult to manipulate them.

      -Starfleet Season 1: Super Nightmare Moon WAS able to take over Rhymey's mind temporarily, but only because her powers are more stronger, and at the given time, Rhymey was still only a rookie officer, not as strong as he is today. Even Still, the spell would not work if Twilight did it. She isn't strong enough.

      -Starfleet Season 3: King Sombra hypnotized Starla Shine so she'd attack Lightning, but as it turned out, Starla was only acting-- the spell had not worked on her as it was too weak--

    • Animation: Twilight Sparkle can use a "come to life" to make objects come to life.

      That she can do on NORMAL things, but Starfleet technology and magical weapons are beyond her understanding and resistant to her spells. She cannot infect their armor, weapons or computer visors... not strong enough and doesn't understand the magic or tech

    • Dowsing: Twilight Sparkle can use a spell to sense and find gems just like Rarity.

      Not important for a death battle

    • Memory Restoration: Twilight Sparkle can a "memory spell" to restore a Pony's memories.

      Not important, and won't affect Spaced Ponies... she's not strong enough

    • Repairing:

      Not Important

    • Summoning: In Magic Duel, Twilight Sparkle use a spell to summon a Parasprite.

      Even the most powerful creature in Equestria, would be no match for even the weakest of trained Space Ponies. Twilight could summon Celestia and it wouldn't help her.

    • Heat Generation: Twilight Sparkle can generate amount heat to melt snow.

      Starfleet is trained to build up pain-tolerance and endurance. They can take the heat to a certain degree, plus, their super armor and clothes are made of special polymerized and infused alloy-- nothing's going to hurt them under 50,000 degrees Celsius... maybe more.

      Starfleet Season 3: Lightning and Harkin battled both ON and INSIDE an active volcano, with Molten lava heating things up, and they took the heat.

    • Water Manipulation: In Magic Duel, Twilight Sparkle can a spell to manipulate water by forming water spheres.

      That would slow the Space Pony down for only a split second, even if she formed the sphere over their heads like a helmet to drown them, but Starfleet is prepared for this as well.

      -They have emergency respirators that they can activate to breath in water or toxic places
      -It's only WATER... a good blast of their magic, or a flick of their fingers will pop that sphere like a bubble.

    • Smoke Generation: Twilight Sparkle can amount of smoke.

      Pathetic! Starfleet's visors can see through smog, and even still, Space Ponies are trained to fight using their other senses. Even if they can't see Twilight, they can still sense or tell where she is

    • Immobilization: Twilight Sparkle can use a spell to freeze thing in place.

      Again, bodies are too thick to freeze like that, and even so, Starfleet's suits have special heating units that can kick in and melt the ice in a flash

    • Transformation Inducement: Twilight Sparkle can use a spell to turn ponies into other races, in It Ain't Easy Being Breezies, Twilight use this spell to transform herself and the other Mane Six into Breezies.

    • Illusions:

      The visors can scan what is REAL and what is FAKE. The Space Ponies are also trained to be wary of illusions and not fall for them... with this, they are able to observe and anticipate what is there and what isn't.

    • Light Generation: Twilight Sparkle can use her horn to create amount light.

      Well, it could BLIND the space ponies so they can't see. But then Twilight herself wouldn't be able to see either, and... as was covered... Starfleet has learned to fight WITHOUT the use of visual sight. So again... Twilight would fail

    • Love Inducement: Twilight Sparkle can use a spell to enhance a object which will make Ponies fall in love with it once seen it.

      Already covered (See Thought Manipulation)

    • Book Jumping: Twilight Sparkle can enter books.

      Not really useful in a death battle, even if she tried to use it to hide, Starfleet's visors can detect her magical energy. Even in a library of a million books, they'd find her easily.

    • Voice Manipulation: Twilight Sparkle can cast a spell to make her voice echo which will Ponies to heard her from far distances

      Not useful for a death battle, even if she could call on her friends to help... it would do her no good

    • Crystal Imprisonment: Like Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle can trap a target in a crystal.

    • Dark Magic: In The Crystal Empire - Part 2, she replicates King Sombra’s dark magic to reveal hidden passageways in the Crystal Empire castle.

  Starfleet always battles Dark Magic, Twilight's abilities would not help her, especially seeing she's not as strong as they are

• Flight: Twilight can fly in the same manner as a Pegasus after she becomes an Alicorn.

  Just like in Dragonball, thanks to Starfleet's training the Space Ponies are much faster in flight than even Rainbow Dash. While Rainbow Dash can only go to Mach 10 (7672 MPH)

  A space can go faster than that ON FOOT (Assuming the roads keep up) this masked their flight much, much faster than that.

  Lightning could circle the whole world 100 times before Rainbow Dash made it around ONCE. The ponies couldn't go as slow as Equestrians if they tried

  Twilight can flight, but she isn't fast enough, nor does she know how to fight in midair.

• Transmutation: Twilight can transmutate living beings as well as inanimate objects.

• Time Travel: Twilight was able to meet her future self in "It's About Time" that her future self warns her of an upcoming event in the near future

  I don't think a spell like that will help in a Death Battle, and the time leap only lasts a few seconds, not enough time for her to change anything... especially against a space pony.

• Bind: In "Shadow Play - Part 2" Twilight use a spell to cast a magic rope to save Stygian from the Pony of Shadows

Even if it were not for my Spite of the MLPs and my getting a thrill out of seeing them get their miserable rumps kicked like they deserve... the IN FIC facts remain... Twilight just doesn't have a chance, none of her friends do. Not even Celestia.

If I were to put Celestia against Grand Ruler... the fight would be over in a split second... Grand Ruler wins

-Even BEFORE he became a humanoid Space Pony and got his Dragonball training, it was still known and believed he was far more powerful than Celestia ever could had been... the fact he has THREE HORNS not just one already means much greater power.

...Celestia wouldn't have a chance.

And that's that...

Twilight/other character: "I want to fight you in a death battle."

Lightning/other character: "We are not evenly matched. It would not be a fair fight."

Other character: "You should give Twilight a handicap or something. Hold your strength back a little, and give her a fair chance."

Lightning: "Except that wouldn't be fair to Twilight now, would it?

Consider this: Let's suppose I gave Twilight handicap... we battle... she uses all her strength and magic and she wins...

What then? Everyone will say she won because of the handicap; NOT because of her own abilities. NOBODY wants that kind of reputation. How happy would YOU be knowing that everyone was whispering about you behind your back?"

Case Closed...

Hating on MLP or not, Twilight and Friends can't win in my world. (I can't make them equal, and I refuse to)

And just talk IN SPITE to the MLP's... I think this Song covers it for me...

And that’s the reason why many people think of your Space Ponies as a race of Mary Sues. There’s being powerful and then there’s being so powerful that it becomes ridiculous. And the sad part is: Nothing of this is every shown in their battles. Despite the Lightning and Co. being supposedly so overpowered, nothing of this is shown in the fights with the villains. In Dragon Ball you get a feeling for their powers because you see the characters leveling whole mountains, cities and even planets. I hate to say this, but it’s really hard to take this serious because it feels so over the top. :(
