New plot pitch · 3:19am Dec 14th, 2018
Tweaking the plot to accommodate the announced character roles, the story will now be somewhat reminiscent of the original story, with a core cast of characters working at TechSIG (the fictional company that licenses the simulations) and a secondary cast of characters who either are directly associated with the simulations, or come from one themselves.
This is the basic plot I have so far for a prologue, which already pulls in the top four characters on the role sheet I posted earlier on.
Elizabeth Waters, a logistics/HR employee at TechSIG, runs into Chad Frawley one day while on break. Initially afraid of the teen, she strikes a small conversation with him before leaving, unaware that Frawley was planning on interning at the company soon. Waters returns to work shortly after the conversation, unaware of Frawley following close behind, hopeful of having someone to vouch for him in the company.
Back at the company, Patrick Walsh, a newly-hired researcher for the company, notices Elizabeth as she enters, pausing his mac & cheese lunch to greet her and point out the teenager who’s been following her all this time. Beckham “Beck” Woods, Patrick’s mentor, also takes notice but pays little attention as he continues his lunch.
Subsequent characters will be part of the secondary character cast, but will still have a major role within the story, which may possibly be told in a split/alternating-perspectives style of narration in third-person omniscient.
I still have to work out just how this can be related enough to MLP to be approved and posted though.
This is gonna be an intriguing read.
If you ever need help writing lines for Beck, don’t hesitate to DM me. I’m interested I’m playing the mentor character. Should be fun!
