It's really been that long since that glorious game came out (I was only 12)
The only thing I hated about it was that ENDING.
-Link and Zelda didn't end up together
-The music was so sad-- the kind that only plays when you lost everything and you walk all alone into the setting sun
-Navi departed too
That... was how it all began (My downward spiral to MORE madness which lead to fiction)
-I was so angry, I began to draw pictures of Zelda regretting saying goodbye to Link (Didn't help my anger)
-I tried never watching that scene at the end of the game again (Doesn't help. You WATCHED it, you can't UNWATCH it)
-I played Smash Bros Melee when it came out in 2001 (I was 14) and I was have Link thrash other computers, especially Zelda, like he was the Hulk on a rampage (It helped a little, but not enough)

The place where I read my very first fanfic, and what do you know... Link and Zelda were getting hitched in the one I read, and I found more, and more.
I WAS HOOKED!!!
I couldn't look away, couldn't stop reading, even well past my bedtime... but I actually felt RELIEVED, and I stopped thrashing Zelda on Smash Bros, and felt a little better of the ending of the game.
However... ever since all that, it went form bad to worse.
-One failed fictional couple after another
-Which lead to more fanfics I read that inspired me to want to make my own stuff.
At first I just did it for fun, but then that fun turned SHIT... especially when I saw THINGS CHANGE in 2006... THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW.
The rest is pretty much history.
...And it all began with Ocarina of Time!
I understand that you're upset about this, but don't Link and Zelda reunite at the end of Ocarina of Time? One of the main parts about The Legend of Zelda series is that Link and Zelda will always find each other, no matter what.

I have to ask a legitimate question here: Why attack Zelda? What did she do here? You don’t like that Link and Zelda didn’t get together but why specifically attack Zelda as if she’s the blame? Link didn’t try to pursue a romance with Zelda so why is she the one getting bashed here? And even if he did still why is she getting bashed here? Is Link somehow entitled to Zelda? If so then that’s a toxic mentality to have towards ANYONE.

#2: Who else CAN I bash for it...? Someone has to pay/suffer for this! Link's lucky I never punished him the way I punish Beast Boy. If the magnitude of the upset was any higher, I probably would have!
