    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

New General XCOM Goodness! · 2:26am Oct 11th, 2018

So! Bunch of XCOM stuff here!

First of all, here's a signal boost for Project Stardust! Do you want your own leather-bound copy of Arad's Stardust?

TStardust
Can Twilight earn the trust and friendship of people who are by nature suspicious and hostile to anything that isn't 'human'?

Well, now you can get it! Immerse yourself in the power of XCOM and MLP! (Maybe one day Ranger will get the same treatment? Nah)

Also remember that Arad might start streaming some XCOM soon, so be ready to join him! He needs to beat my score!

On the XCOM 2: WOTC - Legacy Tactical DLC front, I have two videos for you:

Mission 2:

Mission 3: Already fixed the microphone issue, which lets you hear me rant! Woo! Also, as I was doing mission 4, I realized that the mod "A Better Advent" was still active! So guess what? I get tougher enemies! Go me?

Ranger wise: Next chapter coming out tonight! Do expect some of the legacy content to make it into Ranger, however, I haven't yet reached the end of Bradford's story so far, so we still have to see what makes it and what not. If you've been playing/watching the videos, you can see that I've already touched on some similar parts of the story in Ranger, so obviously the Ranger canon is what matters story-wise, but we'll see what else we can learn.

Ah, Stardust. an old, and very good story. Certainly worth reading, and in my estimation, worth owning. 'twill certainly make for a fascinating conversation piece. Especially since I'll likely forget about my purchase well before it arrives...

So what is this DLC about? I have trouble keeping track of any additions for games I'm not currently playing, because nowadays there's so much gray area between sequels, expansions, DLC, free-LC, and patches.

I know the ending.. but I shall not spoil it

Tactical Legacy Pack includes a few things:
1. A "Legacy Ops" mode, which has four sets of story missions with only the tactical gameplay of XCOM (no strategy layer or base management) that cover the time between enemy unknown and xcom 2.
2. A repeatable, procedurally generated version of those mini-campaigns called the resistance archives.
3. A skirmish mode that lets you create missions (limited to basically choosing a map type, squad, mission type and enemy force/tech level).
4. The ability to change the soundtrack to Enemy Unknown/Within's or a new UFO Defense-inspired (the original XCOM) soundtrack
5. New armor and weapon models based on Enemy unknown/within gear, as well as new propaganda poster poses and attitudes for your soldiers. (You have to finish the legacy ops to unlock these)
6. Also it lets you replay all the previous daily challenge modes if you want, which gives you a set squad of soldiers and/or aliens and you try to get a high score.

All of it is free if you own the expansion War of the Chosen before december 3rd, but sadly isn't coming to consoles (for the moment, though I doubt firaxis will hire a third party to port it).

Thanks! So is War of the Chosen a proper expansion? That’s what I would think, since it does so much with the story, yet isn’t a different game.

4951588 It is basically a different game, sort of how Enemy Within was different from Enemy Unknown. It has some new mechanics and such.

I must say. your tactic

War of the Chosen is officially a DLC but it adds far more than most DLC. It's effective a major expansion pack. The strategy later gets a whole host of changes, but in particular your soldiers get tired so you can't just keep using the same squad for every mission. The tactics layer gets a load of new missions and tweaks on missions, three new classes of soldier with some very cool abilities, as well as three powerful new boss aliens who are awesome Fun to fight against (and much better balanced than the Alien Rulers were).

It is a magnificent expansion. Sadly it is often very expensive as well, but I think there's a deal on it at the moment.

I was considering re-reading that story but now I'll just wait for that book. :yay:
