Firstly, there's been several changes in the earlier chapters, thanks to the suggestions of my friend / reviewer / pre-reader (though since he is reading the chapters after they've been released, I suppose it's more accurate to call him a post-reader?) Sparkle Cola. The overwhelming majority of the changes aren't too drastic. They're mostly stylistic and descriptive in nature—nothing too story-shaking. I'm not bringing any dead characters back to life, if that's what you're concerned about. 
Take note: majority of them. The changes in Chapters 2, 4, and 6 are probably the most retroactive in terms of continuity. While the meat of the changed scenes is still the same, the way the scenes progress is a little different. Keep this in mind when you read chapters that are soon to be released.
I know you haven't made a comment yet for Chapter 6, Sparkle Cola, but your suggestions for the earlier parts gave me the springboard I needed to fix that chapter up, more specifically the conversation between Daring and Velvet.
Second, I've been meaning to get the next chapter released this Monday, September 24, but given the slow progress I've been making in that chapter, it's looking increasingly unlikely. 
In any case, there's still the next Monday, October 1. It's just that I wanted to leave you guys with a timely update before the inevitable dearth of updates that comes when I try to write two chapters at the same time. 
Now why on earth am I writing two chapters at the same time? I'll explain in due time.

Gah, now I need to get to the next chapter for you---they've been fun to review and react to. Hopefully my notes in your comments section aren't too unhinged.
Life has become all the more busy for me, however, now that I am working six days per week, and have additional responsibilities on the seventh which keep me busy from 8:30 to 5:00. So... yeah. Time demands like a job. And-oh yeah! Four kids still at home, so I gotta participate in their lives too.
That's also why I have bogged down on getting next chapter out. It's also the chapter that finally gets the rest of the chess pieces on the board! Grr.
