So long, and thanks for all the fish. · 1:19pm Sep 15th, 2018
Hello.
I apologise for not updating for several years - half a decade in fact. My story, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Equestria” gained a small cult following back in ‘11 and ‘12, and I really enjoyed writing it. Unfortunately, a combination of life pressures, writer’s block and good old fashioned clinical depression prevented me from ever finishing the story. It ended on a frustrating cliffhanger, which I left hanging for several years, and I apologise most unreservedly for leaving you all on the hook like that. It was not my intention, but that’s how it ended up being.
The truth is, I don’t watch My Little Pony any more, and I have no interest in writing fanfiction for it any more. I’m sure this isn’t what you wanted to hear, but it’s best you hear the truth from the horse’s (or, indeed, the pony’s) mouth. The MLP fandom were always very kind and welcoming, but I just lost interest and moved on. It is therefore with much regret that I must declare “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Equestria” officially dead. If you want to finish the story, go ahead. I’m washing my hands of it. This will be my last communication.
As I recall, the story was supposed to feature an anarchist Vogon rebel force taking control of the ship, Twilight was supposed to do something with the machine she was hooked to, and I think Vinyl Scratch’s glasses were supposed to break a window and suck the bad guys out into space (they’re a Chekhov’s Gun), and I wanted to do a second story featuring the New Lunar Republic in an alternate timeline, but I’ve basically forgotten what was going to happen so I physically cannot finish the work to an acceptable standard.
Thank you so much for reading. I am so sorry for leaving you hanging all these years.
Have a great life, friends.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
Who? What?
Oh. This story I was tracking six years ago that hasn't updated since.
