Equestria Girls Humans · 9:37am Sep 2nd, 2018
I don't really like them. The humans look like they are suffering from some sort of horrible skin disease. Flash Sentry is a bland character, not the whole waifu stealing thing. It's in High School, enough said.
It was made to sell more toys. If they looked more like actual humans and it wasn't in High School, I may of liked it.
That's my thoughts. All that said, some of Twilight's human-horse behaviour was funny. I wish they did more of that.
I agree with the skin colour. I prefer pictures that have normal skin colour and body proportions, but those aren’t all that common unfortunately. I don’t mind the high school setting, but when you’re selling human toys based on ponies to seven year old girls what other type of setting could you use.
What about principal celestia’s butt?
It does give the Show more opportunities to use soft magic though. In equestria, magic is a science, that has been studied for thousands of years. Its hard, to introduce a new sort of magic, nopony knew about before, without upsetting the game balance of the world, or contradicting their own rules.
But in the human world, the equestrian laws of Physics dont necessarily apply, so its easier to justify magic gone rouge stories, especially if said magic winds up in the Hands of humans, that dont know how to handle it. Plots like the friendship games couldnt happen in equestria. Why would the mane six ever Need to pretend, that they dont have magic? It wouldnt make sense to introduce a Country, that is completely oblivious to the existance of magic.
Also on a different note, while the first movie is FAAAR from good, it did one thing right: It demystified the Elements of harmony, which were one of the biggest deus ex machinas in the Show. By having Sunset figure out how to exploit a design flaw in the Elements themselves (bringing the Crown/powersource to another world, to sever the Connection to the necklaces/controllmechanisms) so literally anyone can use them, regardless of wether theyre good or not, was pretty smart, and pathed the way for Things, like Starlight reprogramming the map, to use its (processing-)power to extend the range of the timetravel spell.
There are many Shows, with interesting magic Systems, like hunter x hunter, fullmetal Alchemist, Avatar etc, but in most Shows only a few People are able to use said powers, and even then, mostly for Fighting. MLP is one of the few Shows, where literally everyone can have varying Degrees of magic, and its so commonplace, that telekinesis is not even considered a superpower, or Special ability, yet it doesnt go overboard and escalate to planetbuster Levels, like every Show eventually does.
Honestly, i kind of accepted them, my only dissapointment is that spike is a dog instead of..idk a human maybe?

I really hate that dog thing.

Yeah, making humans not really look human can makes things feel weird.

They could of done it better. But it seemed rushed. There's a lot they could have done. Twilight watching horse racing would be funny.

In my opinion, this is how they should be shown as.orig00.deviantart.net/9c5f/f/2017/238/5/2/long_road_to_friendship_5_by_limreiart-dbldv2k.jpg

Much better. I could get on board with that.

Maybe, but they have seen horses before, at the end of Season 1, when Twilight transformed mice. My Theory is, that horses are to ponies, what Gorillas and chimpanzees are to humans, animals. Also the catpeople and birds from the movie to regular birds and cats.
What i really want to see, is Twilight reacting to stage magic, (assuming, that stage magic is not a thing in equestria). In the human world, stage magic is common, and everyone knows, that its fake. In equestria, (before Trixie established hoofdini) it would make sense, if ponies expect magicians to perform actual magic, and if somepony finds out, that they didnt actually saw their assistant in half but faked it, would be called a fraud.
Id like to read a Story About a human explaining Twilight the Concept.

Trust me, the fanart are much more better when they look like actual human people.
