Alright, the usual.

So, yep, completely wrong about Chrysalis! That gives me a perfect track record of zero on predicting things. Which is kind of nice, it at least means the things I predict that I don't like don't come true.
But still, like...
WHAT THE FUCK.
NO SERIOUSLY.
WHY WAS COZY GLOW STROKING A SKULL?
AND SHE GOT SENT TO TARTARUS AT THE END? A CHILD?!
I really want the subtitles on this one. I really need to know what Cozy Glow's motivations were for all of this, cause, uh, wow. I'm pretty sure she's actually Satan, given that stinger at the end.
Apparently her plan actually was to get rid of all the magic in Equestria by sending it to another world. Weird plan; again, I want context behind her whole 'get rid of magic' deal. Not to mention there doesn't really seem to be any explanation as to how she set all that up by herself.
Kind of disappointed by the deux ex machina there at the end, too. Yet again we got an 'all is lost' moment, followed by Harmony magic or whatever saving everyone.
Also super weird seeing Neighsay get reformed. Like, I get it, but he was pretty terrible throughout the season, straight up racism and all. To just go "oh they saved me, I love all creatures now" was a bit limp.
And super glad to see Tirek not get reformed. Like I said, that's the character who should have a 0% chance of reforming. Cozy Glow now, too, I think. Depends on what her motivations were.
Also, uh, did Twilight steal Tirek's magic, and then use it to steal the magic of all those other creatures in Tartarus? She can do that?
It looks like all the students graduated at the end. So, we'll never see them again! DHX might as well delete that folder with all the school assets, too.
Kind of funny how Chrysalis got to fly away free, but in this episode they were all 'holy shit, stop that child!' and swarmed her with armed guards (To be fair, Cozy Glow appears to be about a hundred times more evil that Chrysalis).
And speaking of Chrysalis, wow did we get blueballed this season. All that build up, and then it was a single episode that had nothing to do with anything. Guess she really is going to be the final boss of the show.
Still, though, what's up with that statue of Tirek and Cozy Glow in season nine? Are we going to get the Elements of Disharmony in the premiere, despite it being named Sombra's Return? I mean, it makes sense, given that something equally powerfully would have to shatter the Elements like that. So we know it's Sombra and Grogar, we potentially have Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis on deck... who's the sixth? Someone else from the past generations? Storm King making a comeback?
And with that statue... does that mean they all 'die', turned to statues at the end? Hopefully my reverse-prediction powers work again here...
And finally, good work being utterly useless, CMC. Way to go.
You do know Twilight has been depicted as learning magic just by seeing it used, right? Her knowing how to steal magic was a given after fighting him since I'm pretty sure suffering from it is even more informative than mere observation.

Perhaps. Seeing a disembowlment and experiencing it are two different things. I would imagin getting your magic ripped out of you to be a similar experience but, one you could live through.
