Celestia's New Student (Retraction and completion) · 5:16am Aug 18th, 2018
I've been trying to cope with the direction of this story for a long time, but today, I realized that to continue it was just wrong. It was a mistake to keep it going past the 20th chapter in the first place.
I came to this conclusion after some negativity that went down in the comments of the story. Someone didn't like the story anymore, which is understandable. However, the context was completely disrespectful. Worse still, the person didn't stop being disrespectful after the fact. I might not have been at my noblest right then and there, and nobody needs to see what was said by myself or the other individual. This did, however, push me over the edge as far as what I should actually do about this story. I had been considering a swift retraction, but was too headstrong to finish what I had started.
Celestia's New Student was supposed to be about Celestia bringing Trixie under her wing, not a crossover for the video game Paladins. Because of this, I have corrected the error. All chapters have been removed going beyond chapter 20. Later on, I'll also be giving it a once-over to see if there's anything else that needs removing, or correcting.
Want to know what the actual ending was supposed to be following chapter 20? PM me, and I'll send the details your way.
Hay. You do you, either way. We got a great story out of it.
Takes a lot of effort to admit when a story has gotten out of hand and gone past what you originally intended, and just as much to admit that it's time to put it to bed. I've seen a few authors here who can't manage either, and those stories either end up plodding along in an unending hot mess, or sputter into an undeclared hiatus that often frustrates author and reader both, so kudos to you for doing it.
Why not turn the second half of the story into a sequel, with an accurate description/tags?

You're not wrong. Anybody else would probably do just that, but I just don't feel comfortable with turning it into a sequel. I don't tend to enjoy writing stories that's been cut off from it's actual, original intention. It will not be happening sadly.
However, let me know, and I can still PM you the details of what was going to happen.
