Okay, so, the Little Flashes series is loads of fun to make title cards for, because I have made it their style to be visually abstract but still identifiable with the central themes or ideas behind each story. I would like to take this blog post to talk about these titles just for the sake of it. Kind of a weird thing to make a blog-post on, but eh. I do what I want.

Anyways, we start with Little Glimpses, where you have the title in a standard Equestrian font, but with rainbow-colored wisps drifting off of it and flowing to the right. On its own, it's just kinda pretty and doesn't really say much about the story itself.
But then you get to Little Choices. In this one, the wisps of light are flowing to the left and are the color of Starlight's mane. I made it like this to show Starlight's opposition to Rainbow Dash in the series, how the two, even if through no fault of their own, are at odds with one another, especially in choices. Further, the text gets steadily darker as you go to the right, helping to nail down the noticeably darker tone that Choices has in comparison to Glimpses.
Next up is Little Consequences. No gradient on the text, but the wisps of light are much bolder and stronger here and carry a sharp green coloration, the signature shade of Changeling magic. I think the symbolism here should be kind of obvious. Plus, they flow vertically up and down, instead of left or right, in a sort of jigsaw mixed with sharp-teeth kind of motif. Changelings have sharp teeth, PLUS the Changelings are also at odds with Rainbow, her friends and Starlight.
Now, as things rest, I do have more title images I have made, most of which for stories that may or may not actually happen. One I will show off, though, is this one:
Little Fragments is this idea that I've had rolling around in my head for a side-story to the whole Little Flashes series. It would be an anthology of short stories or plot-arcs akin to what was in Glimpses, most of them being detached from the mainline series. Things that could be covered with Fragments include the day Rainbow Dash lost her parents, Rainbow going to Cadance for advice about her feelings for Twilight, Rainbow's first Gala, Wind Whisper and Squall Dreamer's backstory, how Starlight managed to avoid turning her butt into an equals sign, and many more. I think it might be a cool idea, but I dunno.
I'd close off this blog post with something witty or whatever, but I'm too lazy to come up with a clever outro right now. I just hope this blog post was interesting to look at. I kinda just wrote it on a whim, to be frank.
Hmmmm, Little Fragments sounds like an interesting idea.
The lights in Little Consequences also kinda look like flames. Canterlot went up in flames last arc when the Changelings attacked. That's the fate of those they conquer.

When I saw the Little Consequences title, I was actually relating it more to the Aurora Borealis! (Since at some times, it is mostly green). And since they were heading up north to the Crystal Empire, I thought it fitting even if... well, technically the lights that come from the Crystal Empire after the heart's magic is cast is different. It's nice to see how it relates to Changelings too though!

An astute observation, and a good interpretation. That's a big part of why I enjoy working on these so much; with how abstract the background stuff is, especially for these earlier stories, it is relatively easy to come to your own conclusions about the symbolism in each title. Of course, with some of the title cards I have figured out for possible later stories, especially story 4, the meaning is a lot more clearly defined, even if the visuals are still abstract to hfil and back.
I do hope that you do plan on making Little Fragments. Some ideas could even include some of the flashes that the other members of the Mane 6 had when they were younger, and how their families dealt with them. It could also delve into when Celestia was contacted by her AU self.
