OC profile: Night Brothers

Well, here we are... a day late, I know, I'm sorry, I got really busy yesterday and I forget about posting it. But I'm here now to bring you the Night Brothers. These two are quite the pair of brothers. I have been wanting to show these two off ever since I saw the movie, I would love to get some art done on these two eventually, but that will have to wait, right now I have to show their profile off. But why are these two together, because these two work beside each other extremely often in the story and they are most dangerous together rather than apart. Plus these two share a certain bond with another pair of canon brothers from the show. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read on or see the reveal in the tags.

Name: Night Sting & Night Fiend

Full Name: Night Hay Sting & Night Ray Fiend

Title: The Night Brothers

Appearance: The younger brother(Sting) is a strong dark blue hippogriff stallion with green eyes and purple wings. The older brother(Fiend) is a weak and sickly dark green hippogriff stallion with red eyes and grey wings.

Clothing: The younger brother wears a long black hood biker coat over a striped black and white t-shirt and hanging low torn jeans with overly expensive tennis shoes covered in random logos. The older one wears a black robe covered in pipes that wrap up from his breathing tube around to his back, hooked up to two large apparatuses that glow; two more tubes seem to be feeding them a greater glow through a connection in his golden gloves with strange writing; he wears no shoes.

Weapons: The younger one has several crooked and misshaped knives that he seems to hold with the look of very little expertise despite how versatile he is with them, he also loves using bombs. The older brother has gloves that can absorb and redirect magic as well as the ability to rip out the souls of severely weaken or near dead opponents which feed into the tube and greatly increase his strength and mobility for a short time.

Personality: The younger brother is bold and reckless, loving crime rather too much; having a bit of a strong “gangster’ attitude to the point of annoyance of the ones around him, in doing so he has very little care for respect in any of its forms. The older brother is somewhat honorable upfront, this is purely a facade to his darker and crueler nature, a stallion willing to sale even his brother soul if it means his own survival.

Origins: Born as the first sons, twins to what was believe to be a barren queen of the hippogriffs, they learned many things quickly and were treated almost as gods. At a young age, they were given everything they desired. But her previous barrenness had left its problems as Fiend could barely breathe without an apparatus and even Sting had mental problems.

Soon though a new sibling was born, one of perfect health, the two brothers didn’t take that well. The queen wanted them all to get along, but they treated their sister like a mortal enemy; scaring and even pushing her like trash; it was mostly Sting’s doing, but Fiend did little to stop his brother.

Hoping to set them straight the queen sent her sons away to far off lands to learn from them. The citizens saw her actions differently, as her wanting to get rid of some pest; didn’t help that the sister gain more power while the brothers were gone.

They stay away for many years, learning under many teachers of the ways of the world. Eventually they encounter their closest teacher, Starswirl the Bearded. He taught them so much, and they became so close; to the point that he almost saw them as his sons. However there was one thing they desperately wanted to learn that he couldn’t teach them… magic. This was impossible since hippogriff couldn’t use such forms that unicorns like Starswirl were accustomed to. This especially hurt Fiend as such magic might have help his breathing.

Starswirl tried giving them other things to study, but every time they got the chance they would research on unicorn magic and eventually alicorn magic. This soon proved danger as alicorns of the time didn’t trust mortals; forcing the research to a halt. This wouldn’t stop Fiend. If he couldn’t find answers with them then he would search elsewhere.

Despite Starswirl’s warnings, the brothers left in the night to the far-off desert. There they search for new answers and new powers. Finally, they encounter the most dangerous, the king of the centaurs, Ixion. Though Ixion they learned a horrible truth, that the whole reason their originally barren mother was suddenly able to conceive was with magic given to her by Ixion, years ago.

Ixion was now planning to offer them something as well; great power and knowledge in exchange for completing the task their mother refused to. When they were told what it was, they gave without any hesitation. They returned home and murder their mother before their father’s eyes and kidnapped their sister.

When Starswirl heard of what they had done, he entered the desert himself on a mission to stop whatever they had planned. At the same time, the brothers brought their sister to Ixion and revealed to there sister the evil deal their mother had made. Their mother had been given the ability to conceive again in exchange she had to offer up her first daughter to be Ixion’s latest bride.

It, unfortunately, took months for Starswirl to get the sister free from the centaur kingdom and break the contract. In that time she had been raped multiple times and was now pregnant with… twins. Getting her free did come at a cost, Ixion agreed to release her on three conditions. The offspring were to not be aborted, they were to be brought to his kingdom once born and only he could name them; the names given were Tirek and Scorpan.

Meanwhile, the Night Bros as they were now call had gone into hiding. It took ten years before they were finally captured be Starswirl. However, upon finding them, he found something truly terrifying.

Sting and Fiend had changed dramatically from Ixion. They were given a sort of false immortality that could be sustained by committing the heinous of atrocities. The more depraved the deed was the strong there immortality would become. Pain and sorrow of others granted them more life and the slaking of their lust granted them more magic.

The two brother would carve horrors and tragedies over the lands for many years until Starswirl finally end the madness. He was ashamed of what happened to his former students. With a heavy heart he cursed them and imprisoned them in the more fortified prison of the land.
