Update on things and stuff also ponies · 12:23pm May 14th, 2018
This is a blog post with things and words, and I stuff. So if you hate things and words then, I don't know, don't read it. 
I'm so far behind with the show... 
Ever since I found out that my internet can't do streams, I've just not bothered with keeping up with it. It doesn't help that my last two weeks have gotten kind of crazy, first with me getting a job offer, then all the running around involved with getting ready for that, and then going for an English speaking test and mother's day this weekend.
I've only just gotten to watch episode 6 (Surf/Turf) and 7 (Horse Play) last night [1]. Overall, both episodes were absolutely amazing! I think I have my new favourite for the whole season. If you haven't seen them, I definitely recommend you do.

Surf and/or Turf
It was nice. This episode started slow and I felt like the setup was lacking, almost like they were trying to dump exposition. I was kind of prepared for it to flop, especally since it starts with the map's odd decision to have call on the Cutie Mark Crusaders, of all ponies.
The later moments were totally worth it, though. Twi got shoved into some kind of sub-plot, with her thinly-veiled excuse to tag along for SCIENCE!
The CMC were adorable, I liked that we get to return to the Hippo kingdom [2] and see it post-resurrection, and I can see very easily how one would have trouble deciding which was better (although the solution was pretty clear from a mile away). There was even some some of good old nerdy Twilight being Twilight, a fact that only gets compounded when we move into the next episode.
Horse Play
We actually get a Celestia episode, and one where Celestia was acting anything but regal, too! It was nice seeing more of Celestia as a character, and I get the sense that her voice actress was having fun with this. We got the return of the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE:
Celestia blew them away, literally, literally. They could weaponise pipes like that.
I would have never expected to see her dancing like a filly, or speaking like a robot, either. 
Overall, both episodes get a 8.9 and a 10/10. Waaay better than The Maud Couple.

Well, anything was better than this week. Also, seems that everyone is getting a new job now (I'm just coming back from an interview).
