Does anyone here still use deviantart as a serious platform? · 9:05pm March 16th

I ask that question because I'd really like to know.

Anyone who's been following me for a while will know I have a presence on several other sites besides this one, including deviant art and while I still use it to upload ponies to, I haven't otherwise really been engaging with the site a whole lot.

Recently I was given a reminder of just how badly the site has been going downhill in recent years since the Eclipse remodel when led back to going onto their related site, st.ash, (where I store pages relating to my userscripts) and was dissapointed to see they'd scrapped the old st.ash writer, which I used to edit those pages...

So now I'm left to make the decision for something I haven't thought about in a while. Do I just move these pages off of st.ash and put them here?

I wanted to do a full website thingie using my github.io domain, but that never happened.

I dunno :/

Anyway how are you ponies doing?

I used to love DeviantArt back in the late 00' and early 10'. But now I can't even recognize the site and doesn't feel good to use.

Yeah. There's a green theme now that makes it slightly better, but more than anything when I'm on that site it's really just more "tolerable" than it is enjoyable.

Groups, also, are now being pulled into the Eclipse design which is sad.

I stopped using it a while ago.

Yeah that's what I've been hearing from other people too

Coincidentally I logged in the other day and not only did I find AI art all over the place (tagged, to be fair), but I also found accounts blatantly reposting old content from inactive artists and calling it "signal boosting" or something.

so yeah, done with DA. Not that I did much in the first place.

Ooof

I had no idea about that second part. They were always bad at handling art theft, but I never thought the'd be that bad.
