IN WHICH SURPRISE
Thank you for reading this latest entry in Sunset's Recovery Arc. This is a story I've never mentioned before in any previous blogpost, so you might be surprised it's here. Well, so am I. Allow me to explain after the jump.
This story literally did not exist six hours ago (from the time of my writing this blog). But I've just been feeling incredibly down in the dumps today despite being on my medication and nothing particularly horrible happening in my life. Since I can't explain why, the only thing I could think to do was to make poor Sunset suffer along with me.
Thing is, I had earlier considered writing a story about Sunset relapsing but decided against it. Well, that's out the window. I've made this bed; it's time to lay in it.
It wouldn't be one of my stories without something meta somewhere. In this case, it's the fact that this coming Sunday (April 15th) it will be eleven months since I uploaded the last chronological entry in the Recovery Arc. Obviously I've written prequels and side-stories since then, but haven't bothered to actually move things along. Well, now I have.
Also, no music references in this one. Sorry. I just wanted to do something short and sweet.
Rarity is slowly going insane over her love for Sunset. Since Sunset was naked under those blankets, I'm surprised Rarity didn't strip off her own clothes and start scissoring Sunny right then and there. But, she had work in half an hour.
Also my original plan was for this story to have a lot of cursing on Sunset's part, in a callback to L&H. There is no swearing at all and I think the story might be better for that.
Sunset talking about Cadance is something I'd planned to do in the originally planned next entry, And That's Good Enough, which I am still working on, albeit slowly. Now that I've mentioned her here, I don't need to do it again. Her knowing Sunset will be VERY important at the end of the arc, but I can't explain why. I've also established Sunset has her magic Journal and communicates with Twilight (this is post-RR, so it makes sense). Sunset was a bit harsh on Twilight, but I think that's more to do with her foul mood than anything. She's nicer about Twi in the next story.
Let me make this perfectly clear -- in both the Recovery/Burritoverse continuity and my upcoming +Anon-A-Miss stories, Sunset and Twilight are friends, though their personalities clash from time to time. Twilight is not that much of a jerk. At the very least she's not an outright antagonist like she is in my Spike stories, though she still treats Spike kinda poorly, which will (again) become important as this arc draws to a close.
TL;DR - I felt like shit and decided to write an extra Sunset Shimmer story as a coping mechanism and with my authorial god-powers declared it the next entry of the Recovery Arc. You're welcome. ATGE should hopefully be coming down the pike soon.
But before that will be Blogpost 250, where sexy times shall happen. Who do you think should get it on with Sunset? Eh, I'm sure I'll figure it out. If I'm not too busy, I'll have that bit of insanity written some time this weekend.

I appreciate you expressing your issues through these stories because it's one of the rare occasions that fiction feels like the way I experience depression, it's often less dramatics and more being too tired or exasperated to fight it.
I hope you get out of the funk and flowing through the good times soon.

I feel better now after getting some sleep (MR went live at midnight my time and I posted this blog about fifteen minutes later). Sometimes one just has an off day and can't explain why.
I always worry readers will be upset with me for sometimes using these fics as a form of extra therapy because it might come off as self-indulgent or self-inserty. I try my best to avoid that.
Ok I just fully noticed the tiny little gag you got running in anyfic with people going to sunsets house or her in a funk or happy moment in her house you never stick to the same story of her used wire spool table lol tbh I wouldn't be surprised if at some point you say she got it from equestria as some careless lug threw it though the portal by mistake
