Turnabout Sorcery - Character Themes · 2:22am Apr 12th, 2018
For those who haven’t figured it out by some of my recent blog posts, the next chapter of Never Too Clever will be an Ace Attorney pastiche. I’m going to try to keep it as faithful to the AA series in tone and presentation as I can. Part of that is that I’m going to be inserting several links to music tracks in the fic itself in places where they would play if it were a visual novel like Ace Attorney.
This is what I’ve managed to pick out so far in terms of character themes. Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments below.
Investigation ~ Opening 3385 A.R.
Investigation ~ Core 3385 A.R.
Queen Gladeroot ~ Tears of a Widow
Rubedo ~ Alchemically Speaking
Lieutenant Pansy ~ A Soldier’s Melancholy
General Hurricane ~ Wings of the Legion
Supreme Chancellor Puddinghead ~ A Mind that Confounds
Smart Cookie ~ Waltz of the Beleaguered
Prosecutor von Ego ~ March of Moonlight’s Lull
Star Swirl ~ A Sorcerous Conundrum
Cross-Examination ~ Moderato 3385 A.R.
Objection! 3385 A.R.
Cross-Examination ~ Allegro 3385 A.R.
Cross-Examination ~ Presto 3385 A.R.
Pursuit ~ Clever Turnabout

I have to ask, does Rubedo have three older siblings?
If I may make a recommendation? You should totally be using songs from Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney instead of the usual ace attorney themes. That game had a fantasy setting and an amazing orchestral soundtrack to match. For example, the incredible Cornered theme is literally called Spell Breaker:
