    Episode Re-Review: Grannies Gone Wild

Well, Tell Your Tale finally decided to try to do something interesting, because the last episode showed Sunny's mom in a flashback. But they didn't even give her a name, let alone elaborate on what happened to her. And given the way Tell Your Tale progresses, I'm not expecting any follow-up anytime soon. Getting back to G4, Season 8 hit its first stumbling block only four episodes in, and the

Episode Re-Review: Fake It 'Til You Make It

Oh joy, it's back to Season 8. Season 9 has its fair share of detractors, but hardly anyone I know ever sings Season 8's praises, and for good reason. We now know that the School of Friendship was added at Hasbro's request because they wanted the show to wrap up with nine seasons, forcing the writers to change their plans for the pillars. About the only good thing to come out of Season 8 seems to

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship

While we now know that this has to take place not just before Season 8 but before the events of the 2017 FiM movie, it first premiered in February of 2018, about a month before Season 8 of FiM hit the airwaves. Interestingly, the Discovery Family broadcast omitted several scenes that were later released as part of an "extended" version. As for the writer, it was none other than Nick Confalone,

    Episode Re-Review: Uncommon Bond

After the absolute disaster that was "Secrets and Pies", Season 7 really needed something to redeem it and give it the chance to go out on a high note, especially now that the big 2017 movie had come and gone, and the show's future was still uncertain. Josh Haber, after having returned to the story editor's chair and ultimately taking back the reigns fully from Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco

Happy (Late) Birthday, Tara Strong · 3:03pm Feb 13th, 2018

Yesterday was Tara Strong's birthday. She is the talented woman who voices Twilight Sparkle, and was the first voice of Twilight Velvet when she appeared at the end of "The Crystalling, Part 2" (when Velvet appeared again in "Once Upon A Zepplin" she was voiced by Patrica Drake who also voiced Ms. Peachbottom).

Tara has had many other roles over the years, and I've already discussed her past history in previous birthday blogs, so I won't repeat myself here. But I am most certainly looking forward to the upcoming Death Battle between two of her most popular characters (Raven from Teen Titans and Twilight Sparkle). And I'm pleased to learn that she'll be voicing a character in "Them's Fightin' Herds".

Happy late birthday, Tara. I look forward to what you bring to the table in Season 8.

Thank you! :3

Yeah. I kind of have to agree concerning the respectful nod to Miss Strong's birthday. :-D

Of course, I also have to respectfully disagree concerning looking forward to the Twilight vs. Raven fight. I mean, I like BOTH characters, but the truth is it's going to be a complete Curb Stomp Battle in Raven's favor. Why? Well, the truth is that Raven just has considerably more combat experience (the VAST majority of TWILIGHT's misadventures are Slice of Life shenanigans). In fact, Raven actually beat Trigon single-handedly in the last episode of the second-to-last season of the Teen Titans' early 2000s series. The closest villain in the MLP roster to Trigon's power would be Tirek when he had the power of MOST of the rest of Equestria and, even WITH the added power of the other three princesses, the best Twilight could do against HIM was fight him to a draw. In fact, Twilight has literally NEVER beaten a major villain or monster on her own (though, to be fair, neither has anybody else in Equestria as that would be counterproductive to a series that runs on friendship aesops). Twilight has only ever won against major villains with the help of her friends (and Death Battle rules would strictly prohibit her having her friends at her back). Also, with VERY rare exceptions, Twilight prefers to save violence as an absolute last resort, which would give Raven (who, while certainly far from evil, is also quicker to strike due to her aforementioned superior combat experience) MORE THAN enough opening to win easily.

Okay. Sorry. Didn't mean to get off on a rant.

4795966 True, I don't think it's a very even match-up and Raven will probably win pretty easily. But I think Twilight has shown that when push comes to shove, she can hold her own in a fight.

Wait? Since when is there a twilight sparkle vs Raven death battle? How am I not up to date with this?
Edit: nvm I forgot to watch to the end of black panther vs Batman

She mostly spent her birthday with her father, who was in the hospital for some reason, she posted about it on Facebook.
