    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

Another day, another story. · 6:07am Feb 7th, 2018

WELP.

In case you hadn't been paying attention, I wrote a new story for Aragon's Comedy (Is Serious Business) Contest.

I've honestly been kicking the basic concept behind Here Comes a New Challenger! for awhile. I mean, My whole schtick as a fanfiction writer boils down to "Ponies + <THING>" So, Ponies + Booze, Ponies + THE METAL, Ponies + LARPing, or whatever. Ponies + Video Games was honestly inevitable. Though that one EQG short made it really easy to fill things out. And, plus, the concept of a contest was enough to get me to hammering stuff out, so that's a plus too.

I don't expect to win anything in Aragon's contest, of course, 'cause I'm a cynic. I've been putting off reading the other entries in the contest thus far 'cause I'm fairly certain they'll all be funnier than mine. Ah well.

Still, there's fun to be had in goofing around with a bunch of well-established characters and just letting them bounce off of each other. I mean, that's more or less what I do. If anything, Here Comes a New Challenger! is basically a sequel to Queue Which ... I guess is a fun thing?

Oh, and for the record, it should be noted that there are some random flash games entitled "Mortal Wombat" out there. And I am well aware how crazy Tirek's Revenge would have to be to offer 7(!) player multiplayer, but ... well, fiction, people.

In any case, with Here Comes a New Challenger! written, and Murder Most Equestrian mostly finished (except for the epilogue I really need to hammer out) I'm ... kind of at loose ends on what to work on next. Ideally, I'll go work on some original fiction that's somehow not terrible and also marketable, but ... well, that's a vain hope.

Alternately, if I'm feeling weak, I may just go on and do another volume of The Flash Sentry Papers, for the whole four of you who actually read those. I've even got a title already! Though I should probably hold off on sharing anything else so I can keep things a surprise. Or something.

Neat, good luck in the contest! I still have to finish up mine in time.

FTL

Not that I want to say "Be Weak!" but I am always happy to see a new Flash Sentry Papers story.

Good luck with the original story and, hey, you never know your luck, it may just flow this time.
