Tumbleweed

A guy. A guy who writes stories. Stories about ponies. (And sometimes robots).

T

This story is a sequel to Seven Girls, Nine Hundred Forty Three Miles, and One Minivan.

After all the waiting and all the hype, Sunset Shimmer is convinced Tirek's Revenge is going to be the greatest video game she's ever played. Sadly ... this doesn't seem to be the case.

Written for Aragon's Comedy (Is Serious Business) Contest!

Sorry, Tirek, this contest had a strict word limit. :raritywink:

Fantastic stuff all around, especially Slaughtershy.

The ending of this was perfect. :rainbowlaugh:

Holy Chocolate Tentacles!!!!

A great slamanaza! It’s on!!

If only Tirek had made a racing game with blackjack and hookers explosive homing devices that automatically nail whoever's in first place, or shrink everyone else's vehicles to the size of an RC...

Woot !
We need a sequel :pinkiegasp:

Nah, he should have made a party game instead. Everyone knows that not even the greatest of friendships can survive a good party game.

MOOOORTAL WOOOOOMBAT!!!!1! :yay:

COMMENCE FIGHT BATTEL NOW

Imagining a Yak shouting that.

"YAKS COMMENCING FIGHT BATTEL NOW! MANY CARNAGE FOR ENEMIES OF YAKS!"

ULTRA COMBO!!!

“I game, therefore I am?”

Replace the question mark with an exclamation mark, and you've got a gamer's shirt.

“Oh oh oh! I know how this works!” Pinkie Pie sat up, clenching her fists in excitement. “What if Tirek's really real here, too? And then what if a bolt of lightning strikes your TV and we all get sucked into the video game and then Twilight can use her nerdy wiki stuff to save the day? Wouldn't that be super fun? Except for all the blood and stabbings and stuff.”

Sunset rolled her eyes. “Real magic doesn't work like that, Pinkie. People only get sucked into video games in bad fanfiction.”

“OOoooooh. Okay!” Pinkie Pie immediately ran her character into a bottomless pit.

I have no idea why, but that made me laugh super hard.

This was too perfect. XD I really hope more of this AU comes out soon. It’s been REALLY fun so far.

Remember Tunnel 17! Um... if you don't mind...

It's been too long since I've read Digger.

"Wait a gosh darn minute there. Did Tirek just give you one of my stars at random?"

"Greetings, honored demonspawn."

Really, if there was a video game series based off the original My Little Pony show, then Tirek would’ve been the equivalent to Bowser.

She reached up to grab at Tirek's fingers, but his grip was stronger than steel. She opened her mouth to spit back some final, insult, but only made a few desperate, choking gasps. With a final, dismissive twist of the hand, Tirek broke the knight's neck. Tirek dropped her lifeless body, laughed again, and settled back onto his black marble throne.

Damn! :pinkiegasp:

Not even a minute later, Tirek launched into his evil laughter and played out the neck-breaking cutscene once again. It was unskippable.

You were saying Rainbow? :ajbemused:

“It's ... Not the best design feature, when you think about it.” Sunset said. “But the first game didn't even have multiplayer, so ... That's a step up? Maybe?”

Good point.

Fluttershy kept moving, scooping up the guard's fallen axe and launched herself at the handful of other enemies storming in after her. More geyser-like streams of blood arced across the screen, and the combo counter kept ticking higher and higher with each passing second.

She's good. :rainbowhuh:

“I knew I should have made a racing game instead.”

Damn, talk about quite a unexpected ending. :applejackunsure:
