    Audiobook Announcement

I'm excited to announce that I'm working on an audiobook for Hooves of Fate. I started with Chapter 63: Rivers. This way, long-time readers of HoF can reorient themselves to the momentum of the story before the upcoming release of Chapter 64 (text) this Saturday.

    The Voice of the People

They can cancel Friendship is Magic. They can cancel Make Your Mark. But they can never silence the voice of the people.

    Flurry Heart's Reign of Terror

I stayed up till 2am last night talking with a friend - orchestrating a plot - theorizing what precisely it would take for (young adult) Flurry Heart to successfully depose both of her parents, and Twilight Sparkle.

The Princess Variations · 4:23am Jan 21st, 2018

I've been pretty active in the fandom for almost seven years now. I've been running several very large Brony Facebook groups. I've produced several dozen pony songs, and as most of you know, I've written rather a lot of essays, and a pretty big fanfic. Throughout all of this, I have made it a point of not cross-promoting myself. I don't presume that fans of my music want to read my fanfic. I don't presume that fans of my fanfic want to hear my music. Most of all, I have never used the Facebook communities to push my work, because those are meant to be communities, not The Sprocket Show starring Sprocket

The point I'm making is that I don't make a habit of "selling myself," or plugging my projects outside of the spheres where people had already expressed interest.

I'm making an exception here, not out of vanity, but because I believe this album connects to my writing, and hope that some of you might enjoy it. Help! My Heart is Full of Pony has always, at its core, been a philosophical exercise - a search for deeper meaning through the magic of horse. While this album, The Princess Variaions does not share Heart Full of Pony's bright and sunny tone, it is, in its own way, a philosophical essay.

It's a hymn of sorts to the princesses, and it addresses our thirst for meaning - our need to look to the skies and feel like they're looking back at us - our loneliness, and our triumphs. Stylistically it's equal parts orchestral, rock, jazz, and experimental electronic. If that's your cup of tea, great. If not, don't worry. I won't be plugging my music here often. :twilightsheepish:

The point is that I wanted to reach out and share this with all of you.

Color me intrigued

I don't know how much I'll listen to (especially since, from what I've sampled, it sounds like I likely couldn't give the music due attention if I read or something while listening), but thank you for sharing. :)

I've listened to a bit of this and I found it very good! Easy to listen to and appreciate. I'll be listening to more of your work, Sprocket.
