2018 is coming up · 3:17am Jan 1st, 2018
And with that, it seems that a good majority of us are desperately hoping things will be better than 2017 was. Whether it's because of politics, or culture, or just the added feeling of nihilism that comes with growing older, I doubt that there are many people who are too optimistic for what'll happen by this time next year.
However, despite those discrepancies, I wanna put forth an effort to do something bigger for 2018. I've already done a lot during 2017, and I wanna build that up and add some resolutions for this coming year. So, without further ado, here are some resolutions I wanna aim for:
-I want to make fanfiction outside of MLP. I already have a friend who's wanting to commission a fic related to TMNT (the 2012 Nickelodeon series), and I have a SoFurry account to post it on if I decide to do it. I have no idea if anyone would follow me on that site, but rest assured that I'll still be mainly active on this one. I will say though, I do have a couple ideas for Zootopia stories that may/may not come to fruition.
-I want to finish Chronicles of a Sluttified Spike, and Shut Up And Dance in 2018. Honestly, I think I could wrap up SlutSpike fairly soon, since I only have a few chapter ideas left before concluding with an open ending; from then, it'll be open for either myself or another prospective writer to take the reins. As for Shut Up And Dance, I'm about 2/3 of the way through, and I feel like I could complete it if I get my writing mojo consistent.
-I want to write more of Troy and Canvas. And I don't just mean Private Moments either (although that will get updated). I had an idea for a oneshot involving them, which would involve an element from another writer I worked with before. He already approved my idea, so who knows?
-I also want to write more E and T rated material. Don't get me wrong, I have no problems with writing smut, but it's easy to see that my best work is outside of the M-ratings. I have a few subjects I wanna try and tackle, but I'd have to wait and see how things go for me in the creativity department.
Other than those things, I'm also wanting to focus on real-life goals too (a better car, bigger apartment, paying off debts, etc.). But still, considering how much I've been achieving through writing, I want to move forward and do more than before. Who knows what'll come in 2018? Maybe I'll be more open-ended with commission requirements (I can think of a rule that might be omitted soon). Maybe I'll publish an actual story somewhere. Maybe by the time 2019 closes in, I'll be telling you guys some REALLY big news! But until then, all I'll say is that I wish you guys a happy new year, and I hope to keep writing fantastic stories for you all!

Can't wait & happy you're writing stuff outside of mlp. i'm glad that slutspike is almost over...it's gonna be hard to find good mxm stories. hopefully this coming year there'll be influx of them coming out of the floodgates!?!

Which is a great idea and you'll be appealing to other people outside this fanbase and will be swarming it commissions. Maybe I should put a few in before that happens.
