Progress Report 31 Dec 2017 - IMPORTANT SIGNAL BOOST! · 2:40am Jan 1st, 2018
Happy New Year!
Important signal boost is down below, so keep reading.
So, how did I do in 2017? Pretty awful, to be honest, but there were some silver linings.
I didn't release books like I said I would. I totally failed there and it's on me. I'm sorry. 2018 for sure.
I also didn't finish mission eight or generally do near as much writing as I wanted to. Gotta do better.
My website isn't done, and that's also mostly my fault.
Now for some good news.
I managed to post a chapter once a month, every month, for two whole years now! At least I have that consistency. And, on top of that, despite not writing as much as I wanted, I still have a decent backlog available! So there's that.
Also, my sleep schedule has been actually kinda good this year. Not perfect, but better than its been in decades. I wrestled control of it not only through use of melatonin supplements, but also getting a key diagnosis: sleep apnea. My sleep quality is poor, so I need another two hours a night than most people. If I plan for that, I can manage much better. Also, coffee.
So, I have a foothold on what to do for 2018. Now I just need to execute. I hope everyone has a great new year!
Now, for the serious stuff, and a signal boost.
You need to go read horizon's blog post. Take the trigger warning at the top seriously if it applies to you.
You've read it? Good.
Now, in any sufficiently large community or group, there are going to be bad people. That doesn't mean the rest of us should tolerate them. My heart goes out to the victims, and I hope we can build a better world in the future. Remember, if you are assaulted, you are not alone, and it's not your fault. 2017 was a dumpster fire, and I hated to end on such a down note, but it needed to be said.
Good luck in 2018 everyone!

Good luck in 2018 to you, too, and thank you for boosting that signal.
I'm happy with what I got in 2017 to be honest. That happens to be more of your writing CV! Keep up the good work man! But also take care of yourself. We love you CV!
