Hi hi all! So, as absolutely none of you could ever possibly guess, I'm writing another story! Gasp! Isn't that just the most shocking news of all time!

Okay, okay, settle down, it's not that amazing. Yet. But I'm hoping it becomes something big. Alright, time to pitch my idea to the world:

Ponies happen. Whoooooo.

Amazing, right? I'm so excited too, and I can see you're all practically bouncing out of your chairs to read it. It'll be cool, there will be characters and MLP history rewritten and everything will be absolutely fascinating. Like, it's the best thing to ever come to pony, and I know you've probably heard that a lot, but I swear, this time, it's the truth. So stay tuned for some truly amazing things!

It's gonna be great, really. You're all going to love it, and ponies will be there, and it'll be a blast. :raritywink:

...

Alrightie, I think that’s weeded out anypony who’s just skimming their notifications and has seen, oh, it’s yet another story update, woohoo.

Good. Reader, whoever you are, if you’re reading this, you have my thanks. That means that you’ve put up with my blathering long enough to actually see what my announcement is. Thank you.

I’m starting a post-apocolyptic story about three ponies surviving after a magical disaster. Simple enough, right? It’s called After Everything, and by the stars I swear that I am giving it my all. If you like survival-type stories, fantastic settings, and Equestria like you’ve never seen it, then this story is for you!

So why’d I go through the trouble of driving all but the most dedicated of you away to announce this? Simple! Below is an exclusive teaser for the story, and I don’t want people to skim it and not care.

Cheers~

They say that Canterlot still burns. I’ve seen the pillars of smoke rise above the mountain before they descend and cast a hazy glow on the ruined land. I’ve seen what’s left of a small town near my home. There’s nothing left but ash and rubble. I’ve kept my sister away from the ruins, because there are bones and creatures that lurk in the night. I’ve returned to the debris in the middle of the night, where the sky as black as tar swallows up the faint light I can cast.

I’ve seen the charred remains of ponies, pegasus and unicorn and earth pony. Their skeletons look almost the same, and so fragile I’m afraid to breathe on them. Sometimes all I can see are outlines, shadows on the wall. It’s uncanny. I’ve wondered about the stories they could tell, and I wish I could tell my sister why this really happened, but I’m stuck with the stories I make up to fill her innocent head with dreams of better days.

Throughout the ages, whenever the legend of the Alicorns is told, there’s always one detail that’s never left out. Fillies and colts too young to understand the truth question its relevance, but it held the key to the world’s demise.

All I know is what I’ve been told. The stars are gone, the Age of the Alicorns is over, and what’s left of Canterlot still burns. And I believe all of it, because it’s all I have left to tell.
