...today, I'll be writing a story about dealing with birds in your dryer.
As per a suggestion from ChudoJogurt, it'll be set in Ponyville's spa. (I was trying to think of ponies other than Rarity who would truly need a drier, and that brought up Lotus & Aloe.) It'll be a light comedy. Fluttershy will naturally appear, Ratchette may come in for a few seconds, Rarity is mandatory -- but it's mostly just the Spa Sisters, and primarily Lotus at that.
And why?

...honestly, I don't have a good reason. I just want to write about birds in dryers.

Also, I am fully in support of Mandatory Rarity. We should make that general policy.
One thing. First 3 seasons of the show, (the time that most of your universe is set in) Rarity was WAY more of a Drama Queen than you usually show her. ICR that you've ever mentioned The Fainting Couch, for instance. (Rarity "I do NOT have a fainting couch. It is a divan.")
First 3 Seasons She fell to her possible death on at least 3 occasions, faced at least 2 dragons (3 if you count Spike in Secret of My Excess (IMO, at first she didn't know it was him)), was kidnapped into slavery by Diamond Dogs, faced Nightmare Moon & Discord, had her career almost destroyed several times, and ran for her life (& possibly her soul) with Sombra on her ass & gaining
In short, she learned how to tell a minor contretemps from what was really The Worst Day Ever.
For "Who else?" IMO, probably not Dash, especially if this is set after Ponyville Confidential
One question, will this be set before or after Green Isn't Your Color? Oh yes, if this is set during that episode, I'd point out that there were 2 spa dates, so it lasted at least 8-9 days. Since it was before Lesson Zero, there must have been at least 1 Friendship Letter during that time.
Sounds like it would be really loud to have birds in your dryer. Looking forward to seeing it.
Is the dryer system going to be consistent with "Applejack's 'Day' Off"?
More insight into the spa twins in your world definitely sounds like a treat.

Estee takes the view that each season's episodes cover 1 year (Thus giving time for her adventures). This will take place during the first 3 seasons. Therefore, that is still several years in the future. The spa's troubles may have started but as yet they shouldn't be too severe

Errr...Presumably you mean birds in dryer vents, yes? You probably will not curry many brownie points with the RSPCA the other way and you most certainly will be off their Christmas list this year...
I would imagine the story would be quite brief and would sound like:

Well, an unplugged industrial dryer would probably be very cosy to make a nest in.
Birds in dryers aren't much of a problem here. But during heatwaves you do get the occasional koala in your washtub...
