I'm happy to report that things are coming along, but I still feel that I don't have quite a good place to 'cut the scene' as it were right now, so I'm going to hold off and post the next chapter on Thursday. I know for fact that I'll finish this one by tomorrow at the latest, which means all I need to do is a consistency check and a 'final' edit. I use quotes here because I always come back like months later to check on something and catch a new mistake, and I've been making marginal edits to every chapter I reread every now and again as it is.
So, after this chapter is finished, (both parts of it anyways) We'll move on to our third Kaiju chapter, with the usual break for slice of life between days leading up to the event. Ever since the inception of the 'persona arc' which happened way back in last semester, or even before that, this particular fight was always planned to be a reference to something I'd really come to love during the time I came up with this. somebody already pointed out that a particular 'vibe' was present in an earlier chapter, and if it wasn't before, it will be with this one. It will be a homage to a very particular anime, and if you've ever even seen a clip of this fight, you should recognize it. Of course, I don't expect everyone to recognize an anime from over twenty years ago, but it's pretty famous, so maybe a few of the 30/40 of you who read consistently will. In any case, I hope it lives up to the source.
