New Story: The Waters of March · 11:12pm Nov 18th, 2017

Surprise surprise, I'm not dead after all! I've come back with a new story that combines rhythm and prose into one awesome package.

The Waters of March

Where my previous story Save the Records took aspects of harmony and applied them to prose, this story takes aspects of rhythm. Every line in the stream of consciousness-style passages (and a few from the regular passages as well) are derived from the basic rhythm of the tune's melody.

So, this rhythm:

(ignore that key signature!!! This is meant to be in C-major)

informs the rhythm of this line:

"A gasp, a tear, it's a shimmering light, one that sits on the waves, colored orange by the sky,"

And so on.
