New Story for you people to read. · 12:03am Oct 18th, 2012
Alright, so good news. The story I've written in collaboration with OrphiusOlyandra is published and online. You can find it here. I'm yet to iron out the details with Orphius, but I believe we will be releasing a new chapter a week until the story is done. I think. Currently five chapters of it are written and in need of editing, so I have no reason to suspect we'll be late publishing any time in the immediate future.
See! I've been writing. I'm not sitting around drinking while you guys wait on new chapters of Penumbra and A Long Journey.
Speaking of which, I'm sure many of you have noticed how freaking long it takes me to update. I'd like to apologize for that. I haven't really got much of an excuse why it can take me two months to update a story. I guess all I can say is that the chapters are always really big when I do update, and they're of the highest quality I can make them. I just have a lot of writing on my plate right now, which is completely my fault. I shouldn't have started so many things. All I can ask is you people be patient and remember that I'm doing the best I can. I do have a life. There are things outside pony fanfiction that need my attention.
That's all for today.
Read It, Reviewed It, Loved It. Don't worry about taking your time, as impatient as us readers are we can wait for a good story. keep up the good work!
That's a lot of pre-reading... Lay it on me.

You sure? It's not too late to back out.

Though I won't get to them all imediatly.
Hang on a sec. If you have 5 chapters written, why haven't I seen chapter 3 yet?
433936
Mostly laziness, but we're also trying to be considerate and limit how much work we give you at once.
433942 Fair enough I suppose, but send me something soon then.
433959
I can send chapter 3 now if you like.
433964 Sounds good.
433967
Hey, got an ETA on editing chapter 3? It's just been a while and we haven't heard from you.
444556 Sorry, work's been trying to overwhelm me; I've read through it, but haven't had time to really crack into editing. My next major assignment is due Thursday, so I can probably get back to work then.
444566
No worries, just checking. As long as you get to it before the release date I don't mind.
433936
It's also because we can pump out 8,000 word chapters in about five hours? Six? That sound about right to you y1fellas? It's something like that and we tend to write every night so.... yeah. We've got a huge buffer currently.
464528
Yeah, something close to that. We're writing out this so damn fast, and because we're writing practically every night. At this rate, we'll have written the whole story by the end of next months or something.
464538
And you're forgetting, I'm super busy right now with school as well so my writing has slowed down. I think all we really need is another week or two inorder to completely finish the fic. I mean, I don't think the story will be that long, but then again we never really talked about the exact direction we wanted it to go in. We just know where it will end.
464550
True that. At the rate this is being written, on a good day we could put out two chapters. But we both do have our own writing to keep up with.
464554
Ha! Own writing, so funny you are. I've stopped my own writing entirely to keep up with your prolific writing style and to study. And to... you know... procrastinate... Yeah, I probably should write the next chapter of Simulacrum some time.
I was actually thinking that once we're finished writing the entire fic, we could bump it up to two updates per week. Like Wed/Fri or Mon/Fri or something. I dunno. But in the past when I've got a massive buffer I just go "Good news, extra chapter next week!" as a bonus for all my readers or I write a small side chapter that's not important to the main story, but explains some stuff or is amusing or whatnot.
464563
Hey, if we finish it soon enough we could update at a chapter a day. That'd be a pain in the ass for you, but it would certainly be fun.
I'm sorry to hear your own writing has slowed so much. If it makes you feel better, I'm barely managing a few thousand words a day for my own fics. It's going so damn slow it pains me.
464577
Yes. Yes it would. And I actually dislike daily updates because considering the size of our chapters, if someone falls behind that is a lot to catch up on. Maybe three times a week?
Like I said, prolific writer. It's like you just eat, sleep and write and nothing else.
464587
We'll work out the details if that happens.
...I play Xbox and have work + studies... But yeah, I guess most of my time is reading or writing.
464599
That we shall.
And you manage to get sleep how? Seriously.
