DARK Update: The Plan Thus Far, Dr. Gaster's powers, and opinons needed · 9:31pm Nov 3rd, 2017
Greetings Gotham, Joker here! As I'm sure several of you have noticed, I've brought my old Dr. W.D. Gaster project back from the dead... and brought the Displaced version that blew up in my face back along with it on accident. But, now that the proper, non-Displaced version is all that remains, let's talk about a few things.
First off, the plan for the story. The second chapter will consist of the Season 3 premiere, The Crystal Empire. However, it'll also feature Dr. Gaster vs King Sombra, which leads me to my second topic: what Dr. Gaster is capable of.
Well, for the most part, he can do everything he's depicted doing in this video.
However, those hands he's got floating around him are not his weakness, nor is this all he can do. You see, thanks to playing BioShock: Infinite, I now know of two other characters who were shattered across time and space: the Luteces. Now that I think about it, their story really does seem to have a lot of similarities with Dr. Gaster's. Think about it, the three of them were shattered across time and space by their creations, most likely caused by outside influence, all three of them seem to have the ability to screw with reality, and for all we know, there could be even more similarities between the three of them, such as being basically immortal. Something that'll come in handy in Dr. Gaster's case when the Crystal Heart gets activated. At which point I plan on having him explain his origins in Chapter 3.
Now, for that bit about needing your opinions: who do you think would make a better "voice" for Dr. W.D. Gaster in this story? Tom Cavanagh:
Or Dan Green?
Personally, I'm leaning towards Tom, but I want to know what you guys think? Please, leave you thoughts in the comments below! I, meanwhile, have some studying and writing to do.
I think for powers i would add what sans did bonding with a soul albeit temporarily. And some sort future sight from his ability to see time lines. But i would also add that while he has huge amounts of power his body can only use so much of it with out falling apart like near the end of the video the red hand just broke on its own from to much power

Sounds good to me. This fragment of Gaster was lucky enough to be able to construct a stable body on his own, so I think that'd work for a weakness. Another weakness I had for him was that the damage his powers deal drops significantly in daylight or bright light. Also, I should probably explain why Gaster was able to reform when the Crystal Heart destroyed him and Sombra, yet his own power can cause his body to tear apart, leading to serious problems for Equestria, if not the world... hmm...

I would say the the bonding with a soul does make the fusion a mix of the two so fighting style would change like gaster bond with rarity would be less power more skill/precision pinky more gambler so random and unpredictable. Stuff like that

Yeah, about the whole bonding with humans thing... I don't think that bit's gonna work. But, I do like the "his own power can tear his body apart" thing. That's the bit that will work.

Oh ok makes sense i guess
Hmm well ot could be reworked as channeling from one of the original 7 souls or something and I figured if you useing powers shown in the animation and gaster did take frisks soul in the video it would not be that far fetched but eh your story your rules.
