Season 7: Best Songs · 7:40pm Oct 12th, 2017

Well, since I watched the leaks that came out last weekend, I can confirm that there are no more songs coming.

So that being said, let's take these five songs from Season7 and rank them!

5. Battle For Sugar Belle

What can I say? It's Toby Keith vs Justin Bieber. Sugar Belle was fed up with this charade at about the halfway point, and so was I. Why the team decided to drop Cheerilee as Mac's romantic interest, and replace her with a baker half a continent away, I'll never know.

4. Best Friends Until The End of Time

Season 7's musical debut was catchy enough. It was quite funny how it cost them the record for the puzzle room, too.

3. Flawless

I feel this song wasn't only sung to the readers who had flocked to Ponyville from all corners from Equestria, but also to the real fans who over-analyze and pick apart these characters that we've come to know and love over the past seven years. It's their flaws that that really do make them work.

It was hilarious that as amazing as the song was, it did absolutely no good, and the episode fades out with the journal readers still debating and arguing around the castle.

2. Blank Flanks Forever

Season 7's final song is seriously swing-y, and contagiously catchy.

I lost it when the backups started "snapping their hooves" at the halfway point.

1. You're In My Head Like A Catchy Song

For as catchy as Blank Flanks Forever is, this song, and this entire episode, just doles out buckets of feels for 22 minutes. Fans got the story of the Apple siblings' parents we've been clamoring for for years, and DHX absolutely did it justice. They've done everything except show what happened to them in the end, and even if it wasn't a kid's show at heart, I'm not sure that any of us could take it, because it probably happened not long after Apple Bloom was born.

So what say you all? Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments!

Wow.

I haven't seen The other episodes yet. Because I am not sure where to find them

Dailymotion, although sorting out which ones don't have audio pitch problems can be a chore sometimes.

Wish I could care more for "Best Friends Until The End of Time" and "Flawless", but I can't. Don't particularly care for the genre in the former and it feels insulting to have such a song but Spike and Starlight aren't a part of it. As for "Flawless", it didn't change the perception of the episode or its outcome for me.

Nor did it for everypony they sang to, lol.

The Perfect Pear was god-tiered. One of the most alpha episodes in the show.

though there is always one thing I keep wondering about the Flawless song: what would happen if it DID work? that would really put the episode on a good ending for that reason :)
